All these brilliant talented clever people with their fantastic bicycles - and doing this in one of the most bicycle unfriendly countries in the world, it is inspiring!
Thanks for featuring our upcoming Bosch Bike Friday, Russ, we are stoked to be handcrafting these in the US! Thanks for all the MADE Show content too, it was great to see you back in Portland!
I got a tiny glimpse of that Bike Friday when I picked mine up at their shop (I added a pedal assist). I love that they used the carbon belt on that one. The only thing I dislike about my BF NWT is that the derailleur sits so very low to the ground. It is my fave bike ever though. Their frames are guaranteed for life.
I like that electric folder from Bike Friday, Tern should take a look at the general layout, The Vectron (I own one) is a thing of wonder but Bike Friday probably weighs about the same as the TIG welding filler used by Tern on the Vectron, there is room in their range for a Lightweight folding commuter. (or just get a Bike Friday folder🙂)
I thought the previous video was already overflowing with skill and creativity. But it keeps going! This is crazy. Every bike has a unique story! All of that talent under one roof!
That cargo-bike by Colin Reay: Colin if you happen to read this, please get some experienced bikers to try out your designs and work out the kinks and any realibility issues. Talk with good bike mechanics in business (not just in design) and see if there'd be any sticking points with regards maintenance and sourcing parts. Then sell or licence the design so that people from all over the world can have access to it. I see a lot of designs for bikes, and the overwhelming majority are just the same ol same ol. But yours definitely got my attention. The center steer is clearly more complicated, and thus there's always a fear of realibility issues and other unknowns, but the potential upsides that the cargo positioning would be worth the risk, imo.
Damn. I was prepared to be disappointed, cause mini bikes always gather dust with me. But that electric bike friday with the gates belt... Probably going to have to get one eventually. Seems like you could carry a good bit without the size of even a mini cargo bike.... plus folding.
Great Bikes but i'm not sure I like purple anodising, its starting to feel like colour changing LEDs, fantastic when you first see it. I suppose these exhibitors want to grab attention for their products.
Making your own hubs from scratch is bonkers. Great job.
Paul brodie has a video making brass hubs. Its pretty sweet

Destroy bike was my fav bike at the show! They let me ride it. The front rack not moving made me feel like I was tripping. I was so happy
Ah, we saw the mini velo in the thumbnail of the previous MADE video--and were outraged by the lack of coverage. OUTRAGED
Basically the 1st bike is the most legit culture on wheels on this list, so clean!..

the calpoly bike is amazing! Looks like you could route the steer cables internally, too
I really love the way utilitarian bikes are going! ❤
Great to see their creativity on all these bikes.
the bars on the destroy bike are sick

Glad I hung onto all my 20" BMX wheels. Everybody seems to be going that direction.
Good to see that SMOL bikes are on the trend 🤟
Yo, that Schön is *_wild_* ! NGL, the beautiful practicality of the Arbor would win me over in the end but ... wow, what a statement piece, eh?!
That Ahearne looks SHARP!
It rules! I'm pretty sure he's going to be offering a steel version as well, he had one at last year's show.
Muricans finally discovered the geared hub, i hope universal healthcare is next
Man, gotta love to see more small bikes like those.
So cool. How can I build my own bike from scratch?
The 1st bike 🔥🔥🔥
That AhearneCycle is a beauty and really intriguing - Brompton bag mount and all in titanium.
Front steer hub was wild

The mini velo bug is biting me and there's no way i can go without one now
very interesting video, glad to see more ppl making small bikes, providing more choices
Anyone know how whether Colin @CalPolyBikeBuilders is going to build (or license that) sweet cargo bike?
More awesome stuff Russ!
yo great colors
Love seeing local Portland makers, that btchn bike makes perfect sense for the wild party rides in Portland!
So many great smol bikes!
Schön schön
Also, would have loved to have seen more of the platformed Ahearne rando in the background
The master bike co saddle on the destroy Yee. I keep seeing it as it looks fun and interesting.
While I think simplifying Colin's Cal Poly front hub to something more conventional offset to the side, it's a really nice bike to come to market.
Hell mini yeah!
Danish SCO already makes bikes like this, with a large wheel behind, as a bike for Commercial use.

we should start calling them SMOLvelo!
Second one is like the bike from Haggard! Diamond bike!!
Travel n' gravel bikes make me smile. RIP world troller.
Disco bike is groovy
a party on wheels!
Cool 🤙🤙

🤯
Bosche doesnt give one fuck about serviceability, they're literally anti-repair.
👌👍
thats great
These are too "Portland" for me.
By Portland you must mean fun :)
@@PathLessPedaledTV I am in Australia and converted a cheap 20" folding bike to bmx bars with suspension forks haha glad I am on trend
Lighten up Larry 😅
@@shugobhastudios - folding bikes are great! Cargo bikes are incredible.
