    Such great ideas! I'll be in my shop tomorrow fashioning a washer for my bump key set and making a bump hammer from whatever items I can find to emulate the ones I can buy. Thanks for sharing!

    I found the brass washer was a great idea. Easier way to make them is place one over a very fine needle nose pliers and heat red hot with a torch and spread apart and drop in water. Perfect

      @@RookKnight- is the ruler a better option for some reason (speed, light tap, etc?)
      I followed your link and advertised just below it was a set of 4 replacement heads and two hammers for only $4 more!

    • @RookKnight
      @RookKnight  ปีที่แล้ว

      The metal ruler is good for the whipping act it makes (it similar to a real bump hammer) but you could use just about anything, I would think. That is weird on the 4$ replacement heads, I search, and search for the cheapest ones, and they never gave me that option. One time a friend and I where looking at the Amazon app on each of are phones, and we ended up noticing we had different prices for the same item. Don't ask me why,or how, but even called Amazon, and complained about it. Anyways that is crazy, but a good deal. Have a good one bro 🤜🤛

    Did you file the end of the key so the bump rings would fit better?

    • @RookKnight
      @RookKnight  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello, Yes, sometimes it works a bit better if you file down the shoulder of the key a bit. Also might need to do it depending on what you're using to cut the key. For instance, lishi cutters sometimes need the shoulder of the key taken down, to be able to cut the last bitting. Thanks for checking out the video 🤜🤛
