Hi Peter, I have a 1VD-FTV in a 76 series that has a pinging sound during acceleration when you change up gears, the car has only 41k on it. Could it be a faulty injector?
Peter, I have a 2020 200 series Sahara and have complained to Toyota since new that it has a tapping noise left bank (they have refused to remove and inspect for internal issue). The engine presently only has 20,000klm on odometer. Have you seen cracked/faulty rocker arms from new or very low klm's?

Sent an email last week. This same thing happened to me and I've replaces all the rocker arms. They still break. New oil pumps as well

Do you have to take off the timing cover and chains to get the cams out?
Is that easy to fix , what do you do
