There it is. My HUGE surprise. I finished this in two days (which is a record, considering this video is 7 fucking minutes long hahah) and I had so much fun doing it. Why 31 Reasons? Why not 100? That's probably what you're thinking right now, but let me explain.
I watched several videos that were based on "100 Reasons to ship.." and I realized something. All these videos are TOTALLY amazing, but they're always predictable. I mean, mine if predictable too; but in every "100 Reasons to ship.." video, I'll see this:
"𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐘 𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐒 𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑."
"𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐘 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐒 𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐈𝐌."
And I feel like this is only a way to get more reasons. Why not putting it together? "𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐀𝐓 𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑."
I also realized that many, many people who do that kind of videos always use reasons that aren't as important as for example:
"𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐎𝐍."
That would be a "good" reason that you could count. But, saying "𝐁𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐂𝐔𝐓𝐄 𝐓𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐄𝐀𝐓 𝐏𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐑." isn't a usefull and "good" reason, for me, tbh. Not hating on anyone though, I just wanted to explain why I only did 31 Reasons. And this is why: I watched several videos of Lucaya, I watched many "100 Reasons to ship Lucaya" videos and I picked the most important ones out (at least I hope I did) and put them into a video. Those are the reasons that I think are the most important ones (that doesn't mean you think the same thing, maybe there is a reason that you think isn't as important as I thought, and that's okay.) Those are the reasons why I LOVE and SHIP Lucaya, 31 Reasons Why I ship them. I wanted to do one of these for a long time. I actually was planning on doing a "15 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑜𝓃𝓈 𝓉𝑜 𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓅 𝓁𝓊𝒸𝒶𝓎𝒶" one, but I realized there are way more. Also, my SV couldn't take it anymore and it took one and a half hour to render this, so I don't what would have happened if I did 50 Reasons, or 100. Maybe I'll do one in the future, but for now I hope you're as happy as I am about this video. Because I haven't vidded Lucaya for 𝐓𝐎𝐎 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆. ;)

At 4:41 during that episode i saw it too. This is my theory, no hate plz: When she said"did u make a decision huckleberry?" He smiles at her saying "I actually did" then the second she says "it doesn't matter, you picked Riley" his smile drops when he saw how happy Riley was. He originally chose Maya and it seemed as if he was saying "I chose you. What do you mean?" And since he knew that If he said it was Maya, Riley would have been hurt and he was probably afraid that their friendship would end between Lucas and Riley, and most importantly, Maya and Riley. If he were to choose Maya, it would change everything because of how sensitive Riley is. His smile dropped because he realized, he couldn't say anything without hurting someone. His smile dropped because he knew that Maya was doing it for Riley but she was hurting inside and he knows when she is not fine (previously in the video). But all that did, was make Lucas fall for Maya even more because of how loyal she is and how much she was willing to sacrifice for Riley.

The necklace parallel along with the other Cory and Topanga parallels to Lucaya just show how much each of these pairings belong together. For example, Cory and Topanga didn’t like each other from the beginning, their relationship began developing like Lucaya’s while Riley liked Lucas since the beginning. Which in a way is kinda of a parallel to how Mincus was “destined” to end up with Topanga, but low and behold Topanga ended up with Cory. Not to mention the fact that Cory and Topanga ALWAYS sat one in front of the other no matter the classroom just as Lucaya did. In fact even though there was a supposed ending to Lucaya in the Ski Lodge episodes, one can still see a sort of parallel to Cory and Topanga’s relationship since their relationship came to a pause during their visit like Lucaya’s while Lucas and Riley’s relationship started like that’s right you guessed it Lauren and Cory’s relationship. (Not only is there this parallel but in my opinion the Ski Lodge episodes showed that the love triangle shouldn’t have been between Lucas, Riley, and Maya, but between Lucas, Maya, and Josh.) Besides these few simple parallels of Lucaya and Corpanga there is way more reason to ship Lucaya than Rucas or whatever it’s called.

I honestly don't believe that Maya only had feeling for Lucas because she turned into Riley. She only began turning into Riley in Season 3 and even then I didn't believe that. So what if she was taking an interest in her grades, is that so bad. Maybe, she was still Maya but with a touch a maturity. I honestly believe this was a failed way for the writers to end the triangle. But back to my point, Maya has always had feelings for Lucas; ever s I need she saw in the train in Season 1 - while being Maya. As the seasons went on, her feelings for him grew till they became noticeable in Girl meets Texas. Maya didn't become Riley and start having feelings for Lucas. They have always been there. That's my opinion. thank you.

likeiwantyou I kinda have a theory that the reason why maya said what she said in ski lodge part 2 was bc she was trying to save their friendship but didn't realize she was also destroying it. This reminds me of girl meets a Christmas maya yesterday when smackle said to maya "you already know times fixes things" lucaya needs time before they can talk let alone look at each other again. Basically what I'm trying to say is lucaya's spark is gone for a moment and they need to wait it out, take their time, and see what happens in the future "time fixes things" it always does.

My opinion is that Riley never actually liked Lucas. She just dreamed about him, she never saw who he is inside. She wasn't even thinking about it. On the other side, Maya didn't liked him straight up from the start, she was slowly falling in love with him for himself. That's one of the reasons why I ship Lucaya.
The biggest thing that shows that Riley liked the idea of him was that when Zay nearly exposed him, she was horrified at how he might’ve been different than her perfect image of him. Maya from the beginning admired his courage and loyalty to people he cared about regardless of the fact he was kicked out of school. They’re both extremely passionate and brave and loyal to those they care about namely Riley. They match very well and the other thing that links them is how he helped her change overtime to not resort to violence.
I know I’m late lol, and Rucas became endgame in Ski Lodge p.2. I just rewatched Season 2, and in Girl Meets Texas p.3, Lucas was talking to Judy the sheep and Tombstone the bull. I forgot the exact line, but I know that Lucas said something to Tombstone like “When I found out I had a chance with you, that was about the scariest thing in my life.” Obviously Maya was the bull, and Riley was the sheep. Lucas fell off the sheep, but he stayed on the bull. Once again, I know this is all incorrect and Rucas is endgame, but I deep down believe that the writers should have considered this before writing Rucas.

You managed to show _perfectly_ their development throughout the seasons and the deep feelings they share. To be honest I saw how a lot of comments that say that Maya only liked Lucas because she turned in to Riley or was behaving like Riley. I think that is bizarre because first of a person cannot simply "turn" into an other person. Yes Riley did surly influence Maya in a good way for example my giving her hope, friendship and the courage to trust someone again but that doesn't mean that Maya is suddenly acting like Riley. Even Cory said the secret of life "people change people" meaning Riley changed Maya in a good way. My second point is that the feelings Maya has are still hers and not Riley's. Whatever she feels still comes from the depth of her own heart even though she changed a little bit. A human being is ought to change in his or her life. This is my thought anyway ;)

Love is the act of sacrificing, which is exactly what Maya does for both Riley and Lucas, sacrificing. I don't recall ever in the show Riley ever sacrificing anything for Lucas. Meanwhile, Maya is sacrificing things left and right. She deserved Lucas so much more than Riley did. AMAZING video!

Although the show ended at a bad note for Maya and Lucas’s relationship, realistically Riley and Lucas would break up after a short span of time and honestly even though it’s not canon, I like to think about what Lucas and Maya could’ve been because let’s face it, they seems more real, developed and lastly, not forced at all.
Another thing is that their almost kiss was because Lucas wanted to, he almost kiss Maya and in Riley’s case she is the one who kiss him
Hear me out. Girl meets world is a reflection of boy meets world for the most part right? Well, in boy meet world Topanga sat in the front row in the middle of the class room, she’s a little different then everyone else, Cory sits behind her, he’s the one with good morals and can keep everyone in check, and Shawn sits behind Cory, Shawn is the best friend to Cory who gets himself in trouble and counts on Cory to get him out of it. Now, in girl meets world Maya sits in the front row in the middle of the classroom, she’s different than everyone else in that she’s the only one we know off to come from a broken home and doesn’t go by the rules like everyone else seems to, next is Lucas who is the moral compass and can keep everyone in check, and behind him is Zay, Zay is Lucas’s best friend and counts on Lucas to get him out of trouble. If that’s not a reason that Lucas and Maya were meant to end up together idk what is.
They had nothing but CHEMISTRY since day one, Rucas was SO FORCED. Joshaya was also forced, Josh literally rejected Maya so many times, and now he suddenly wants her? After breaking her so much? WtF. No thanks. The writers messed up with this one.

The good news is that while Rucas might be canon, the show is done meaning we can all believe that 5 days later Riley and Lucas broke up giving Maya and Lucas a happy ending together.

i always felt like their relationship was a read between the lines kind of thing like we don't really get scenes of them hanging out alone, but we know that they're close friends that know each other really well (and he doesn't seem to know riley as well as he did maya, he needed someone to tell him sth was wrong with riley for him to realise),, she met his parents, she embraces all his flaws, he knows all about what happened with her dad (which shows she trusts him more than we think, even riley was surprised that lucas knew), there are so many more examples. lucaya should have been endgame period

I don't think Riley ever HAD a proper deep conversation with Huckleberry. And I think he was going to choose Maya but didn't because Maya said that she liked him because of her "turning" into Riley (a lot of forced bs). Here's how everything would have been better: This triangle started when Riley kissed Lucas (basically). I think instead of smiling, Riley and Ranger Rick should have frowned, and Riley could have said she felt like she was kissing her brother (Inspiration From 'Back To The Future'). Then think of the possibilities of better episodes.

We all know that Riley was the first who fall on him in the Season 1 and that's Riley and Lucas fell in love. But as a viewer [us] of the story, we all know it was Maya who pushed Riley. Now, hold on and flip to the Lucas POV. How did he know???
He wasn't looking up at that time - not the first time after they three shared a glance - no, I don't remember Lucas looking up to see how Maya pushed Riley, no?? Or am I tripping? honestly, I can't find myself shipping maya with anyone right now bc I just want her happy with all that she deserves. she's been through so much & at some point, she has been hurt by every guy. she deserves way more than she's been allowed in this show. however, this was a beautiful video & I can definitely see why these two have such a strong bond. whether it be for a relationship or just pure friendship, that is up to the writers. but brilliant job at capturing their chemistry & bond. love it

I like to think that in the future maybe in college Maya is with Josh but her and Josh get into a huge argument about age and maybe Josh cheated on her and she finds Riley only to find that she left Lucas to go pursue something wacky and good for the world. Then Maya and Lucas find each other and sre best friends until they finally fall in love. Thats what i feel would happen

And how does josh know how maya feels when she's not even on the show until the ski lodge. Did you see Maya's face when she sent Lucas to Riley? Yes, she looks sad. I really hope that if the writers really want to make riley and lucas endgame, at least give them some development and stop cutting their scenes. And I think Rowan is more comfortable with Corey than Peyton, and that's why Riarkle has more physical contact than Rucas.
Yo dude I haven’t even watched one episode of this show but it keeps showing up in my recommended and I’ve seen both sides and honestly I ship lucaya just because there seems to be a deeper meaning behind their relationship than r/l so even coming from an outsider it’s clear they need to get together

I always thought that Maya became Riley in that one episode because she felt like she had to be someone who seemed perfect in order to love someone like Lucas, a "good guy". I think she was so insecure in herself, that she didn't think she was worthy to love someone who was good to her.

They would have worked if the writters allowed maya to let her walls down more and for them to deepen their trust and add that level on top of the chemistry and the silly play fights. Like that episode when she asked him about his beliefs, more honest convos like that. I personally love her and josh and think they gave maya and lucas more of a jo and teddy from little women story, but had potential to develope their chemistry or make them true bro and sis goals. But riley and lucas never had what would make a great ship, I ship riley and farkle before her and lucas honestly.
