- Genndy Tartakovsky is one of the most famous directors in animation, most famously known for Dexter's Lab, Samurai Jack, and Primal. But did you know he has a new show out that he has been crafting since Samurai Jack? I talk about the characters in the show with some early speculation and discussion, as well as some trivia behind its production.

There so much I love about the reborn plot. The ethics of it got me. Like damn imagine being forced to save the world?! Do the original person just die? Or are the fused but the unicorns are in full control? i love the inner fight emma has cause she had a wonderful life. I can’t wait to see more.
I want to know how old these characters are. Emma is old enough to get married in this time period and Alfie was playing on the opposite team against winston but he looks like he could be 10
I assume they’re probably like 16-22 ish but I also think any age wouldn’t surprise me
I may be stretching but let’s say that Alfie is 12-13 so he can still act like a kid and he small, and Emma and Winston are like 16-17 at most 18, and getting married cuz old times it is weird that they looked the same as in the flashback but those are my bets for the ages... and Dimitri could be 18-20 for making him young but the older and that he’s working.
Ideally the vibes that they gave me are Alfie 10-12, Emma 17-18, Dimitri 20-22 but then the timeline wouldn’t match well and or would be much of a age gap between Emma/Melinda and Dimitri/Eldric
I am excited for this show, but I feel HBO is going to do something stupid by cancelling this show. Even with great talents behind the show. American animation is not given enough respect unless it's a re-boot or a Simpson/Family guy rip-off. 😮💨

Emma parents should probably hire a PI to understand what happen to her. there is a lot of potential of conflict with the parents/winston/Emma here and i hope it would not be squandered.
Yeah I feel we kinda see something like that with Winston coming back for Emma the end of episode 2 like “yeah this situation is crazy hey come back”
@@Colby2D I assume the character development would be, Emma does not want responsibility. realize she needs to be apart of the warriors. this conclude to the fact that if malinda takes control Emma personality would be dead. not wanting to die Emma refuse to let Malinda take control. than it comes to another conflict that if Emma is the one who remains dominate she would remain with the warriors forever and Malinda dies.
than its blah blah blah is it moral or not and finally it either ends with Emma taking control forever or Emma making a sacrifice and die to give Malinda back control. i personally prefer the former since it gives the team someone naive who has more to learn adding greatly to the dynamic.
my assumption with winston is that the Evil would try to use him as a pawn to get reed of the warriors in order to save Emma. not knowing what he does he succeed in nearly destroying them. than its either he sacrifice himself in order to save the warriors or he nearly dies doing so. dying would give Emma and extra motive and add tragedy. but if he stays alive she has a reason to live and therefor not allow Malinda to take control.
Yeah that seems like good options! When I think of other media that has characters that have other characters or spirits inside them, like Naruto with the fox spirit, I think the character often comes to terms with something inside themselves and either fuses with the spirit or abandons it because they’ve undergone character development. But as you mentioned, we don’t really know enough about Emma or Melinda to know what their issue will be

I like the premise and characters but I just can’t deal with the art style of the characters. It just doesn’t fit in my opinion and it just makes serious/emotional/intense scenes look goofy and it just pulls me out of it. I really want to like the show but I just can’t take the characters seriously 💀
I personally love the art style but I can see why you feel that way! I believe the creator said he was really inspired by Snow White having goofy looking characters in dramatic situations, so whether it’s effective or not, i suppose the art style was executed how he wanted😄
