@SB Tofu I agree, i'm Brazilian and Villa Lobos is a genius, but it don't have the same brazilian identity as Tom Jobim, João Gilberto, Jorge Ben, and etc
As a matter of fact, Villa-Lobos was indeed the most important brazilian classical musician, and a genius, no doubt! But, we must bare in mind, classical music is not part of our culture, and his success is much explained by eugenics politics in his period. Our soul is still samba and other folk sertanejo, as we call, but there's always space for different expressions of culture in our people, for we are so diverse.
Isso é Choro...tao brasileiro como Pixinguinha, Nazareth ou Chiquinha Gonzaga. E por ser brasileiro, é mestiço. Instrumentos trazidos de Portugal, tracos ibéricos, mouros, a polka, o lundu, o maxixe...
O fato é que a música, assim como a língua nao é pura e se transforma.
Falar de Eugenia e Villa-Lobos chega a ser um insulto ao Indio de Casaca.
O cara que compos Samba Clássico. Que compos Uirapuru...Descobrimento do Brasil.
Chega da ate um desânimo!
E dizem aí que Jobim é mais brasileiro que Villa...
Como sw Jobim sofreu influência de Villa e Debussy? E do Jazz?
E Jorge Ben, da música norte-americana.
O cara que mais pesquisou e elevou a musica brasileira, seja dos morros cariocas seja da Amazônia tem nome e sobrenome: o gênio musical Heitor Villa -Lobos.

I'm brazilian and it's a pleasure to see a Prelude by Villa-Lobos performanced so good.
That Daniel Friederich has a bit of extra spark and life to my ears.
The best interpretation I found on TH-cam! Your sound is perfect! Congratulations! I used to play it when I was young and I'm now trying to learn it again many years after...very difficult!
I am so very glad that these instruments are preserved and cherished over the years and decades for different people to experience them. I'm not a player myself, but I do enjoy History and the thought of considering your own reality/life in regards to your own historical reality. This is no different in Music, I feel: how alien and bizarre would modern tunes be to like Vivaldi-era listeners. Yet, other than that, keeping up traditions and feelings and learnings over the decades is a HUGE bonus to Music, I feel.
I read some last century novels in my native language, some hand-me-down books from my grandparents, their reality is so different, but yet I can relate because I understand their language since I grew up with my grandparents in the mix. My fear is that if over the years/decades we lose this aspect of generational sharing we will lose a lot of feeling in Music and everything, really.
So I'm grateful for Siccas' Guitars and Alexandra for doing this and I hope everyone enjoyed it and keeps working on it. Cheers all.
Alexandra: there are multiple variables to be considered when one considers the purchase of a well crafted instrument. Any given artist might’ve attempted what you performed here. You performed precisely what is required for another performer of interest to feel completely at ease in making their choice. Pity you aren’t available at a moment’s notification, at any location worldwide….. Much gratitude and humility!

One of my favourite pieces, and a really nice interpretation. Second guitar sounded warmer than the others but fourth was my favourite.
