Can’t wait to see the cut back video at the range. I’m sure it will be awesome Mr. Wade, you have been a mentor to me as I watch all your videos sir….! Thank you for another educational video
I make some shorter shells that end up as 2" shells when completed and they cycle perfectly in my pump.
Wade: One of your best videos on short shells. VERY informative. Thanks!!
This is EXACTLY the video I have been waiting for, the perfect loading for the CB1138 wad. Thank you B.R.O!
If one finds a particular powder ( or any component)
that works very well for them,
in this day and age I'd say to
load up on as much as you
can afford to. I've been in the
position of painstakingly working up grail loads for various loud tools, only to
have the manufacturers suspend production, and ultimately discontinue the
things I need to load the
loads I spent valuable time
and money to work up.
Buy as much as you can afford
to. If nothing else, it'll be excellent trading material for
some other sorely needed
components that are scarce.
Thanks for the great video
and for sharing the information
It's always greatly appreciated
Good Luck
Looking forward to many more
videos in the future ❤
This was great! Been waiting for a video on minis or cut backs...... Thanks Wade!! Good to see you again!! Keep them coming!! God Bless!
I simply love the ability for these to be full power
Thanks Wade , great video. I’ve been playing with the cut back hulls for a couple of years now. Stay safe BRO
Thank you Wade! A fantastic video! Love the recycling of shot shells into continuous useful hunting rounds! Thanks for all the learning!!
Thanks I always learn when ever I watch...You the Man.
I use a set of punches for punching out circles, If I put the punch in a vise sharp side up I can do 25 to 30 minute by moving the cardboard as I tap with a plastic hammer. I loved the one about the cereal box, they work, shoe boxes. soda pop cartons etc. Thankyou Wade for such a nice informative video. Any of those would be devastating on hogs , white tail , even mule deer within the proper distance. It is nice when a man can help himself and re-purpose hulls that many would throw away. God Bless hope all is well your way.
I'd like to make some card wads with Little Deb-ee snack
cake boxes. Everybody rails
about how bad those are for
one's health, and I'd say
"Yes. . Yes indeed they are. . "
😂 😂 😂 😂
@@maxpinson5002 🤣
They'll work for over shot, under shot, or over powder as well, right?
Another great video brother Wade I've been wondering about that for quite a spell you laid it out plain and simple and easy to understand thank you very much God bless ya'll ill be looking for another fishin video from ya
Late to the party on this video, but 27gr of Longshot is my "go too" load for my 2" hull length shells. Bought a Mossberg 590s designed for the short shells and have settle on 2" cut length as these shells also work in Win 1300 Defender, Fabarm FP6, Rem 870 and even my Beretta 1201fp. I load 21 or 27 pellets of #4 buck, 9 or 12 pellets of #1 and 9 pellets of OO+ of the B.A.M. shot. Another informative video, keep up the good work.
Hope you get to do scouting this year.
Love the videos Wade! Thank you for sharing the valuable information for us newbies. God Bless!
My pleasure brother...
Great video with very useful information. I bet a TPSCW would be great cut to fit those short shells.
Good job, Wade
I enjoyed this. Makes me want to do it myself.
Few years ago I made a jig for my power miter saw to cut 12 ga shells down. Works well for me and it's quick. If i get too close to 2 inch, they still cycle good in my 870 but they get too light too carry them out of the ejection port unless i use a shell with taller brass.
I'm glad I saved my spent hulls. I had figured out most of that, but was scared to try until I got expert confirmation. How about low recoil for tactical use or for smaller shooters? I understood before why the finished shell would be shorter than the spent shell---shotgun barrels are made with reinforcement to handle the pressure for the moment the shot opens up the hull (I can't remember the exact term). What is that pink plastic tool you use to vibrate the buffer into the spaces between the shot? I love your instruction, making things easy to understand!!!!
It’s just a back massager that Wade uses
A wealth of knowledge. Thank ya Sir. 👍
my pleasure brother...
Dang good info thanks. 👍🦌🦃
As always, great work. I’m up the river a ways from ya. Ozarks in North Arkansas.
I hear ya brother... yall are up there where the Red fern grows!!
amazing thanks so much!
Good stuff wade..
Great information!
Awesome great video thanks for sharing
*Solar Power mini split DC 'DIRECT CURRENT' air conditioners... well worth installing. Even if you run direct from the solar panel without batteries.... the Hybrid on/off grid... allow for solar and grid power {some savings, especially during peak usage hot afternoon hours}. For full off grid you might want batteries and a DC direct current air conditioner. Not using an inverter to convert to AC Alternating Current reduces the amount of wasted electricity.*
Hey brother theses videos are always so interesting.
Hope your doing well brother. Please tell captain Buster we said hey from swansea.
I will tell CB for sure! Hope yall well Tim!
Hey Wade, after watching your save those hulls video, I made some 21/4" cut backs using #00.5 or .34 cal. When I tested patterns last week, I shot those, too. Those were not wimpy at all. Lots of popaliciousness. I also found a way using heat gun on low setting, and a dowel rod to hold round until cool. Then using a curling iron saved most. I use the bingo chip when not using buffer, punched out over shot card with buffer. Great info, as always Wade.
That's awesome brother!!
Thanks Wade!
Great vid, very good info, as usual
Love to make plastic overshot cards out of old milk jugs!! Thanks Wade & Hope you are doin great bud!! God bless BRO family!🙏👍
Doing well brother... been working hard trying to get the river boat ready. I'm ready to go fishing!
👍👍
curious how many of those load in the same space as a 2.75 or 3"
My only issue is lighter loads 7/8; or less high velocity
Please forgive my ignorance.
What is wrong with higher velocity?
@@Cyotis the problems with higher velocity is a huge change in shot pattern .It will open up even with buffer and flight control wads .Now when it comes to slugs in some cases higher velocity is a must .and other times it causes accuracy issues .Do you have to try to see what works in your gun within the pressure limits set by saami standards.Somen people will load slightly higher than saami standards which may be safe of some guns but not others .Speed kills but only if you can get it on target 🎯 when you need to !
@@Cyotis forgot to mention the Enertia required to cycle the gun on semi autos is the main issue gas ,recoil, hybrid system.Pumps and OU never have issues with that .they will eat what you feed them ..When I shoot 7/8 loads on my 3 inch Beretta 302 it jams .But 1 1/4 oz it loves and 1oz slugs can be hit and miss .If they are at 1600 fps and up no problem so I buy any that are rated 1800 fps 3/4 oz ..Now I load my own so I don't worry about it .I use 1 1/4 oz hand cast Diablo slugs moving at about 1600 fps using 39 grains of sr4756 .and an ordinary trap /skeet wad the slug fits perfectly inside 2 3/4 inch hulls .I use tapered wad if you recycle winchester AA hulls
Hi, brother Wade. This was a very interesting and informative video concerning the "Cutback hulls!!!" I've been wanting to try some in my Remy 870 pump gun, 12 gauge. I'm really looking forward to your range video testing these "Cutback hulls." I believe that they would make a decent game round and as a self-defense round.
Thank you Wade for another outstanding video!!! Have a great day, God bless y'all.
@@carlubambi5541 Thank you for the info! I appreciate the knowledge. I am very inexperienced when it comes to reloading.
Hey wade I got the ctps-46 wad 26 grs of long shot in 2 3/4 federal it has 12 pellets of .31 cal it weighs right at 1 1/4 of oz pay load what you think the psi would be
My guess would be 10 to 11000 psi
Could I use a different buffer in the last load? I have bp original and don't really want to buy more for just one load
all of BP's buffers are interchangeable and work equally well for me. I use Original, #47 and BSB in any of these loads.
My 12ga auto is just shy of 6 in the tube of 2 3/4". by taking off a 1/4" overall length on 5 shells it should be able to load the 6th no problem right?
yessir!
Would I be able to use #4 buckshot for this load?
Yes
Will the little green mini or short wad work in your 2" load?
Yes they will work in the Cheddite, Fiocchi straight walled hulls.
@@BubbaRountreeOutdoors Thanks ! I've modified a lee load all to crimp the 1 3/4 minishell but spend a lot of time trimming hulls and wad to fit. THANKS FOR ALL THE VIDEOS YOU DO, IVE GOT A LOT OF USEFULL INFO FROM YOUR VIDEOS.
THANKS A LOT
MIKE!
