Hello again! This concludes the Sentinels campaign. Stay tuned for the Alliance campaign in June 2025! If you have any questions regarding Grant's playthrough in this video or Azeroth Reborn in general, drop them here and I'll be sure to reply!
@@Penguiniel Grant beat mission 5 with 79/100 supply, mission 6 with 10 non-hero army units, mission 7 with 78/100 supply and mission 8 with ~170/200 supply. The numbers are similar for missions 1-4. That's a far cry from soloing the campaign with heroes.
Just replayed it in TFT, Illidan only start leading the top attack wave once Malfurion reached maeiv's base, which I think is fine since you'd have your full army and 3 level 7+ hero by then.
I always liked the 'We need to find a new goldmine to marshal more forces!' line from Maiev. Like, sure, the Night Elves are an ancient people who protect nature and stand against the forces of evil, with Maiev's forces in a desperate life-or-death situation against Illidan's forces, but like hell they'll work without getting PAID.
The antagonist of the Sentinels campaign isn't Illidan, it's the communication skills of the average elf. Edit: And to throw in some Maiev glazing to counteract Grant's serial warden slander, I don't like her decision to lie to Malfurion about Tyrande's fate, but I begrudgingly admit it was correct. Malfurion knowing Tyrande was alive but deep behind enemy lines would have only risked distracting him if they had gone after Illidan anyway. Whereas going after Tyrande first would have left them with no time to stop Illidan before his spell destroyed Northrend, which would have sent the uncontrolled Scourge into a frenzy across the world at best and done that while *also* throwing Azeroth's environment into magical disarray at worst. In Azeroth, where the elements are sentient and hate you, climate catastrophe is a very apt name.
But picture this... Had Malfurion saved Tyrande, then the lich king would be gone and Azeroth back to the pre-scourge ages. So what is Maiev right about?
@Raizan-IO There must always be a Lich King, as we later discover. If the Frozen Throne was destroyed, the Scourge would either fall into a mindless rampage or be reined in by the Burning Legion. Either of those outcomes is not great for those living on Azeroth.
Admittedly, nuking Northrend would also nuke a significant chunk of the Scourge too, and probably a lot higher proportion of intelligent undead with all the ghouls being /relatively/ fresh.
It always weirded me out how Sylvannas crossed the bridge before using Starfall and Tyrande thought that the middle of it is the perfect place to use it. Usually in expansions characters gain experience and competence compared to the base game, but the Night Elf expansion campaign is a train wreck of idiots trying to outdo each other.
I guess she was expecting the Undead to pull off the -Reforged Silvermoon- Book Arthas maneuver and just flood the river with corpses So Tyrande pulled as much aggro as possible to prevent thst from happening, the bridge didn't get any healing and the weight of the Undead ended up breaking it Frozen Throne is just full of these plotholes Like Warcraft, like Starcraft, like Warcraft
In the mission at 01:00:00 Kael'Thas does seem to rebuild.....his Hero and Workers, but apparently neither units nor buildings. I feel like in such a case, the game would overall feel better if the player controls both factions, instead of FT's offhanded approach. Then again, this is WC3 reborn, not a new take on it Still phenomenal work, porting the campaings so far. Also this just destroys ""Reforged""'s piss poor improvements
You know how it is by this point I simply comment because I want to help you, GiantGrantGames, so that I get recommended more of your videos later down the ine. Thanks for the Amazing content !!!!
The Waves on this first mission look so cool. There is a lot about this game I'm learning seeing it years after I played it as a kid. You were near a fountain of mana, you probably could have used tranquility and waited for the cooldown to move out, unless that's too slow. I saw the ancient of wonders and I was like are you going to kit out your two near heroes, but how much will you even use them, next mission in one of them just leaves and I'm like fair, but the other one, Tyrande. I was right I thought I recall being able to play Naga faction.
58:33 Have you ever cheesed the Naga spellcasters with 2-3 control groups of Faerie Dragons which just fly to the top left and click their ability? That said yes, in any other mission they're rather useless, sadly.
"Oh the final mission where you get to play naga, I wonder how difficu - IS THAT TWO ROYAL GUARD!?" The base Warcraft 3 has two naga myrmidon. That's amazing.
Good morning\day\evening, ladies and gentlemen! This might be a rather random and off-topic question, but a copy of Starcraft 1, still in its original wrapping from when it was bought new - is that something that might be worth something? I still have mine in on the shelf
I know right !? I even play the final mission or RoC with nothing but riders and the heroes and rarely lose even one while smashing everything that comes, they're great.
It says it's build in the sc2 engine, but it feels more like brood war 'cause you know, "flocks of coatls strike from random directions and you never know why or how."
Im still not sure about upkeep - does the tax resulting of higher upkeep makes a) workers return less gold (gold mined slower but no loss) or b) workers return the same amount of gold but part of it just disappears into thin air?
@@ironmilutin wasn't sure it actually wastes gold instead of just reducing the rate. Apparently it also taxes all gold income including creeping and selling items.
He leaves her "for later", leaves her be to let her find her own destiny in the Rick and Morty adventures that Illidan will find himself in And then in BC Maiev just skuddles away to her jail because her vacation is finally over And Furion just sits it out because Furion is a night elf male

Does Illidan ever attack maiev's base? Is this intentional? Mission 5 seems too easy without Illidan attacking maiev's base.
@@Penguiniel It's intentional. I felt the difficulty was already high enough without adding Illidan to the mix.
@@SynergySC2 I supose that this is about as difficult as the original. It just seems weird that so many missions are possible with heroes only.

14:50 Strength and Fervour are actually what Illidan named his twin blades.
