Glad you enjoyed the song! This was a collab between Wind Rose and Ghost Ship Games who made a game called Deep Rock Galactic! It's set in a fantasy+sci-fi setting like Warhammer 40k, where fantasy species advanced and went into space. We play as dwarves working as combat miners for Deep Rock on a distant world extremely rich with minerals, which happens to be vaguely sentient (?) and sends endless hordes of stone bugs to make us go away. But we, being dwarves, stand strong and fight nature for daring to deny us our riches!
@@MattsMoshPit1 yup, also "rock and stone" is the main warcry/rallying cry of the dwarves in the game, and has basically reached meme status in the community :) and in fact "if you dont rock and stone you aint coming home" originated as a meme before being put into the game voicelines but yeah its a song made for a game about space dwarves mining on an alien planet, so space bugs, robots and guns are definitely part of what happens in here
The italian word for dwarfs is nani :D Italian dwarf metal for the win! BTW you should totally do a reaction to Nanowar of Steel's video "La polenta taragnarock", it has English subtitles and is so, so fun. :D
You need to check out "Feuerschwanz - War Drwarf" It has Wind Rose's singer and is the English version of "Kampfrzerg". It's a lot of fun .. and it's a live video, so no aliens or machine guns
I saw them live last year when they opened for Gloryhammer and Alestorm, I think that was a perfect lineup. The video reminds me a little of Gloryhammer, they also do that weird mix of fantasy and sci-fi. I know I would love that song live, especially after a couple of beers, but just listening to it like this the chorus gets really annoying after a while.
I think I would love them live. The whole alien thing was just weird. Then again Power metal can be weird if you really think about it. I guess it’s just best to embrace it and have fun.
