Founded by a German. No wonder I like Dickel so much.
You missed a step in the making of the charcoal. The wood is aged to remove some tannin. Makes it less bitter.

I like Dickle 12 and Bulleit.

Bulleit is sourced whisky. This means that Bulleit isn’t even a distiller. They buy someone else’s Bourbon, ( probably Heaven Hill, which makes some of the best) .Bulleit pours this whisky in their own barrels and ages it, bottles it and calls it their own. This doesn’t mean the Bourbon isn’t good.

Very good. I came from a rum background resentful towards whiskies. I do LOVE me some Dickel Whiskey. I am going to request my bevomo carry all the George Dickel whiskey variants. Save the "cocktails" for the queers in SF. One does not spend ten years making a superior whiskey to ruin it in a "COCKTAIL". As robin Williams would say "PHUCK NOO MAN" "PHUCK OFF".

I haven't tried the full Dickel line but I have not been all that impressed so far......but the Dickel RYE is just wonderful, I do plan to try the rest of the line soon
