    JACK, You mentioned multiple times that this is hull #1 and a prototype. Unfortunately, you have people in the audience that didn’t get it. Thank you for making and sharing this video with us.

    Thanks for the review Jack 👍
    Looks like great fun out on the water, like all the other Axopar’s and it’ll be interesting to see the final production version as at the moment it’s just a big day boat or occasional weekender in my opinion.

    I've been looking forward to this test drive, what more could you want in the UK? Awesome boat, cheers Jack and well done to the camera operator again for the great shots at speed 👏👏👍🇬🇧❤️

    It’s a lovely thing but I can’t help but feel that it looks very compromised. That attempt at a galley is shocking. There is no way you could cook on that. I’m a big Axopar fan but this doesn’t look like a boat that you’d want to spend any extended time on, which is what I expected from the 45 Cabin model.

      I'd do away with the grill inside.
      Keep it outside where it should be. That would allow for better seating.

    • @BR0SE1DON
      @BR0SE1DON 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@steveantson9608 could not agree more. Who on earth wants to grill INSIDE their £500k boat!? I know this is a prototype but that’s just the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen.

    As I pointed out in a thread this is a size and style that is selling at least in the US Florida market. Midnight Express makes the same general style at over 60 feet long. This is not a competitor for the Princess V series.

  • @zooloo73

    Is it just me, or does this boat have clever solutions to a lot of problems that shouldn't be an issue and completely ignore basic things? No galley, a wetroom on a 45, those gaps in the roof, etc. etc.

    • @rtbinc2273
      @rtbinc2273 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll assume that there is a lot to still do it is a prototype - I'll just overlook execution errors like the gaps in the opening roof. Those mid-ships benches are a puzzle to me - no backs? I've seen inside galleys like that on other Scandinavian boats, but they had hobs, not grills. Is that a prototype thing too?

    • @mortensorby6352
      @mortensorby6352 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally agree. I was so disappointed with this boat. Had so high expectations for it. Turned out to be the worlds smallest 45 footer ;-)

    • @rtbinc2273
      @rtbinc2273 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I will point out if you go to the Miami and Haulover boat channels you see tons of Center Consoles in this size range. They are all very Lux day boats so this style does sell. If you don’t get it a lot of other people do.

    • @zooloo73
      @zooloo73 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rtbinc2273 Sure, but those seem to know what they are - open boats for fun in the sun with the option of a night out. As a Norwegian, I'd compare to makers that originate around here - Nor-Tech 450, Fjord 44 and Windy SR 44 Blackhawk. They all seem so much more spacious. Up here I'd rather have a sports cruiser like Windy 45 Chinook, 37 Shamal or a Marex. Unfortunately a hypothetical question for now.
      This looks like a closed boat that wants to be an open center console, and with the flexible doors in the cockpit and gullwing doors in the saloon the rest of the interior seems like workarounds to compensate for the unusable space.

      Zoolo 73
      Point made.
      But I see a foundation.
      The hull shape. And sea keeping.
      The drone replaces the heavy expensive flybridge.
      On boats this size and smaller.
      Where top weight is detrimental.
      This boat was not ment to excel in any one thing.
      But be adaptable for a variety of things.
      They need to Emphasize their shallow draft!!!!
      To have this shallow draft. And do well in open, very rough seas.
      Is very rare!
      An extremely huge advantage for the family man, putting family first.
      Not a bunch of dudes peeing over the side!
      Very, very few pics of family with kids 3 days out on a fast center console....
      I for 1. Would live to have my family out!
      Over a bunch of drunks. Peeing over the side of the boat.
      I see a start In a new way of thinking.
      Boats are more practical , shorter I n height!
      45 should have more.
      And that will happen.
      But I for one.
      Could adapt this boat for many things.
      Figure out what you want to do.
      And talk to them.
      But understand!!!!!
      This is not. Nor is ment to be.
      A heavy ,slow , displacement boat.
      Where weight does not matter.
      To many people do not know the difference.......
      The builders need more emphasis on education!!!!
      And market this for the Great Boat it is!
      Obviously.
      .Most lost at sea at night. Are from drunk men peeing over the side of boats.
      So not all woman will recommend this boat for their husbands🤣

    The padded cover on the roof support above the grill is going to be nasty after a couple uses of the grill. Like you said it’s hull #1 so things may change.

    Nice, rugged and purposeful…….. I would need the rear cabin and more provision for catering at that price….. I noticed the concertina sunroof lifting at speed, which in a squall could be a little damp…. although, I accept this particular boat is a prototype/mule…….
    If I had many boats, one would be this one……. but not as the only one.
    Good tour as ever 🥳🇬🇧

    Hmmm I like axopar but can’t help but think that at this budget, there are loads of used, proper yacht options I’d be looking at with a much more luxurious experience and no plastic echo or constant creaking inside. The 37 sun top I liked a lot and you can now get them a few years old at half the price of this. Then more cash left over to enjoy it. I wonder if they will also do a Brabus version of this, that is such a cool brand combo.

    Glad to see proper manual switches , glass bridge stuff is all nice and that but a ruddy curse on smaller boats when you have to scroll through four screens just to switch the nav lights on while bouncing about .

    I though there were plans for an Axopar 52 or 55? Or did I mix that up with another boat? I swore I read that Axopar was going to break into the 50+' market with a 52' boat, 2 berths with the rear table an option to fold down into a bed, solar panels as an option as well. Oh well, maybe I dreamed it up or got it confused with something. It happens

    I duuno Jack, half a million quid seems way too much for such a compromised boat like that.
    I'd rather spend that money on a sargo 36 explorer or Botnia Targe equivalent.
    40 knots in all weathers with a better interior, legendary build quality and a flybridge too if you want it.
    Enjoyed the tour though 😉

      2018 Sargo Explorer 36 up the Hamble river just under £500k.
      I’m with you I’d have the Sargo in a flash. The Axopar however has been the weapon of choice for the aspiring family since just before Covid drove boating into the stratosphere. And regardless of your income size you’re going to stumble gently as you open your wallet to top this one up.

    Axopar might have great sea keeping ability but it is as though the navel designers don’t speak to the interior fit out designers. If they are the same persons the Axopar need to look for new designers. This vessel is one huge compromise from front to back and none of it works well particularly as for a fully specified version you are talking megabucks for a vessel little more than 45 foot long and not much wider than a canal boat. Probably only suitable for an uncomfortable chase boat. Less gimmicks please more usability required. Axopar are on the way to taking the gimmickry accolade off Galeon.

    Keep in mind.
    A DRONE replaces the flybridge in today's world.
    And sits much, much, much, higher 😀.
    The very biggest advantage ever!!!!
    So you have a much, much ,much more comfortable boat ride 😁. Without all that Topsy turvey, unnecessary top weight!!!! ...Wasting all that hard earned beer your girlfriend watched you drink!!!!!
    And the anchor being below decks,out of the way.
    Means you can unload the passengers in Alaskas grizzly country.
    Onto the beach.. Off the bow. In 10 sec9bds!!
    This is a shallow great boat!!
    With no broken legs, tripping over the dumb anchor!!
    Even Grizzlies like a fair chase😁
