I suspect we're not the first generation to endure an entire lifetime of hoping/waiting while God dangles the rapture carrot in our faces. And I believe there is a strong possibility that we won't be the last. At this point, I will believe it when I see it. I will not allow God to get my hopes up for something that he knows he won't actually give you.
You make God sound so cruel. Geez, do you believe in Him or not? Cause right now, you're sounding like you wouldn't be going in the rapture anyways.
The rapture is a mystery revealed almost 2000 years ago. It is our blessed hope. So yes, many people for the past 2000 years have hoped and believed in the rapture. But it doesn't make much difference to us as individuals, considering that we only live about 100 years and God could take us home at any time anyways.
I understand wanting off this planet. I certainly do. But it does not behoove anyone to be so bitter about it. Your suffering is already limited.
@Ayverie4 How is it not cruel to raise your kids hopes like that while knowing it's not gunna happen during their lives? That's a horrible thing to do.
