My home town. I still live in Lavender Hill, Hill View actually. And yeah, this is our daily life on the Cape Flats, ghetto gangland. Our prayer is that God would start a revival within Lavender Hill and across the Cape Flats, Delft, Hanover Park, Mananberg, Mitchell’s Plain etc…in the mighty name of Jesus.
Great video. Correction though. Lavender Hill came to the fore in the late 60's. I lived and grew up on the other side of the M5 in Steenberg. What you do during the day is what I do during the night, in the greater Mitchell's Plain area. Hair raising stuff. So many Capetonians are oblivious to what goes on in these crime ridden areas. Thank you and be careful out there.
I appreciate the fact that you share the political factors, from the past regime, that led to the current state of the areas you are driving through in your videos. There is so much work to be done by those in government if only they were focused and real patriots.
Was delivering steal there a few years ago and about 10 laaities tried to rob me.very sad to see that children see what their parents do and try to do the same.
How I miss my hometown! Lived there for 30years.. good and bad people there! Pls get u a naviBuddy next time lol. U were close to the m5, that was the easy way out!
Perhaps you should have a local speak on there community? Have then describe and explain the situation from their perspective. It just seems like you are driving around without any engagement.
The so called coloureds original name is Oorlams Afrikaners The government is oppressing them & the Khoi, San, Nama, Griekwas they was dump there not just from district six they lost they farms & land They are the only people with the Indians with Colonial laws against them in the workplace The ANC is committing Economic & Cultural Genocide on the original land owners
Bro are you crazy you cant drive an unknown car here in gang land theres some roads in cape town where you must even flash to enter or you get shot they think you and undercover and driving in circles all the time
Just the name only sounds nice. Lavender Hill. And the name Delft. Ironically. It is the name of fine bone china. In Europe. So ironically. My husband and long time friend went for a weekend your. Of Michelle's Plains for the hell of it in 1992. When new South Africa came into exsistence
I don't think u understand if u throw 10000people together in a small area with no income.far from there work place.and no facilities..I grew up in an area like this..alot of youngsters are threatened to become gangsters.or they make your life miserable if they don't take it
Your balls must probably take the whole backseat hey... i like what you doing but hate that it would take one stray bullet to end your life be safe brother..
no .. lavender hill isnt that dangerous .. y dont u try n get you a local guide .. with the gunshots goin off u might find that u love my lavender hill
Ok just a small bit of sence.. please? I'm only asking? Why are you driving in the Cape flats looking making the coloured or poor look more poor? Why not help uplift the coloured people?

Having grown up in JHB and EastRand I truly love Cape Town so much more than Jhb and surrounds, even the worst in CT is prefrable to best in Gauteng
Yip, can get rough that side for sure.
Shacks is not only a Cape Town problem! East London, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban too!
True.
But we worst than you guy the police dont come here where I live they scared to come in krief gat
I use to stay in Montague Village.Gang fights became the norm.I pray that the gang violence stops. It isn't nice to raise kids under those conditions 😢

Indeed, not a smart move.
Was delivering steal there a few years ago and about 10 laaities tried to rob me.very sad to see that children see what their parents do and try to do the same.
Sad indeed, the role models from TV are also lacking at times.
How I miss my hometown! Lived there for 30years.. good and bad people there! Pls get u a naviBuddy next time lol. U were close to the m5, that was the easy way out!

I see DA potholes, but streets are actually clean. Give people jobs and things change.
Jobs are created not given, unless u work for GOV.
Perhaps you should have a local speak on there community? Have then describe and explain the situation from their perspective.
It just seems like you are driving around without any engagement.
Indeed, just observing.
Always the most dangerous
.
I’m from UK and will be riding through with my electric bike will it be OK?
Plan your route carefully and you should be fine. remember to pack your sense of humour. Don't ride this route.
Khayelitsha us also dangerous
Sadly
lavender hill is dangerous but not the most dangerous in cape town...Delft is the most dangerous.
Ja, sadly another suburb that gets in the news for that.

People choose to be criminals. It has nothing to do with the relocation. It is just a crutch used to blame somebody. So sad . 😢
Thanks or the feedback, have you ever been relocated?

Ja, true, I did not expect a shootout at 9am, very dicey indeed and not worth the risk.
Nyanga's the most dangerous no?
Also dangerous.
By far not the most dangerous suburb of Cape Town though!
not far off.

Did you know it's unsafe even where you stay bullets or hijacking are flying
How can I help? I'm not trying to make anyone look anything, observing the reality of life, which can be dire in Cape Town for many different people.
Life is fragile. Blessings on your day.
Bro drink some coffee or an energy drink. Your commentary is paint drying
it is what it is bro. thanks for watching the paint dry.
