Forged oak branch with acorns candle holder blacksmithing project texture dies 12 ton forging press

Hello all and welcome back to Empty Pockets Ironworks, For this weeks project I was inspired by an artist's work that I had seen on a blacksmithing site on Facebook. It was a candle holder with simulated branches and Oak leaves, I loved the idea of it and decided to make one for our store. Using the 12 Ton Coal Ironworks Press i was able to put my texture dies I had made to work again making the branches from 1/2" round material and various scraps of 5/16" and 1/4". I had the general Idea in my head of what I wanted it to look like when done but made the majority up as I was going along.
This project allowed me to flex my press a little as well as let the anvil sing with some traditional Blacksmith forging. The end results I think turned out rather well, better than I had in my head so that is a plus, there are a few things if I do another that I will probably do differently, mainly with the feet, I like them but I think something else, maybe ball ends would have been more effective.
We have well passed 2100 subs! And with that have a giveaway in the works! Can you say 60 degree Swage! That's right, But your gonna have to wait for the next video to get all the info! I have some work on my end to take care of first and all will be revealed, So for all my continental US subs something awesome will be up for grabs here soon!
