I have been studying about 1 hour a day , listening to Thai music , and have been watching Thai shows. The more I expose myself the better I have been absorbing the language. I just came across your channel today , and it will definitely become part of my daily lessons!

I normally heard "Kah" was being used in a boran lakorn. One even used it to address himself to his mother, right? While "goo" and "meung" are used by higher position people to their servants. Fun fact: "Goo" and "meung" sounds similar as Malaysia Kelantanese accent - "Ku" and "mung" which are also used by close friends or by elders to the younger people.

When talking with friends, if you still want to be polite, use 'rao' instead of 'gu', use 'gae' instead of 'mueng', and never use 'ai', these are much better and would be words that I recommend to speak with friends. 'gu', 'mueng', 'ai', are considered impolite or sometimes rude. These are mostly used among students where they use these when they are close.
