I’ve been watching your videos, as I’ve been learning Thai over the past few months. I’ve come a long way, and your teachings really help me out a lot. Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for including all of these words for ourselves and others, so many books only teach ฉัน and ผม but I hear so many more in dramas. This gives a better understanding of relationships between people speaking too.
I am working on my teaching degree and have wanted to teach English in Asia. After a ton of research I decided on Thailand. I have been studying about 1 hour a day , listening to Thai music , and have been watching Thai shows. The more I expose myself the better I have been absorbing the language. I just came across your channel today , and it will definitely become part of my daily lessons!
This video is something that I like. The proper usage of the pronouns I and U (You) are well discussed. Good to have the formal and the informal forms of the word. Nice Job. Might still be appreciated better with some real clips of people talking with each other. Thanks
I normally heard "Kah" was being used in a boran lakorn. One even used it to address himself to his mother, right? While "goo" and "meung" are used by higher position people to their servants. Fun fact: "Goo" and "meung" sounds similar as Malaysia Kelantanese accent - "Ku" and "mung" which are also used by close friends or by elders to the younger people.

Knowledgeable videos by you.... really helpful for those who are beginner and wants to learn Thai language. I was there in Thailand on this new years and visited few places there. I think with basic knowledge and slowly and gradually good knowledge if Thai language will make my future trip to Thailand more exciting and will give me a better chance to interact and understand Thai people.
Thank you so much, i'm trying to learn and i practice in social media and with my friends, when talking to strangers i use "chan", "khun", "phi" and "nong", but when talking to my friends i use "gu", "mueng" and "ai"
When talking with friends, if you still want to be polite, use 'rao' instead of 'gu', use 'gae' instead of 'mueng', and never use 'ai', these are much better and would be words that I recommend to speak with friends. 'gu', 'mueng', 'ai', are considered impolite or sometimes rude. These are mostly used among students where they use these when they are close.
Calling yourself and others in Thai is really complicated. I don't refuse it at all. There are so many words that can be used in different situations and contexts. It's not only I and You just like in English. Please treat it as a challenge or an interesting cultural stuff :)
