this is made by fan and they are employing the young which some of them literally grew up with one piece i believe it came out 1998 so since they are employing people in their 20-30 one piece is older then them.

Honestly, seeing them have props and draw frames while looking at the manga pages made me even more excited. And having the _Attack on Titan_ director, the director of _Jujutsu Kaisen_ as your assistant director, and the _Spy x Family_ and _First Slam Dunk_ character designers is crazy! And it seems like they started production of this around the same time as OPLA season 1. Edit: it wasn't the action animator of _Demon Slayer._ One of the staff members was a key animator on _Demon Slayer._ But the action animators for this series did work on _My Hero Academia._
for real. make more of this. i like this because we get to see the process and that adds to the excitement of the product but also to the appreciation of whatever they produced. i'm kinda still scared, but after seeing this, it kinda eased too. bcs of the knowledge that yeah, this work is loved and decided with as much attention as they can.

What about all the anime adaptations of ongoing mangas? Or other source materials having multiple adaptations at the same time? The Apothecary Diaries is an ongoing light novel with 2 different manga adaptations and an anime adaptation, all happening at the same time.
One Piece is blessed. It already had a beautiful anime for it's releasing time, now it'll have a more modern refined version of it. And WIT's gonna flex all their creativity with this one!
To create The One Piece, every single staff involved trying to "become" Oda-sensei. Even to a smallest detail. That is dedication to recreate a masterpiece.

Also heard about the pacing that The One Piece adapt fully on manga so the episode will be not as long. Even tho it was made in special episode, not anyone got access to that. What I know, this maybe targeted new audiences.
Half the battle is already won with the passion and respect they are showing to the original manga. I don’t mind even if they take longer to make it as long as they keep these attention to details to bring the One Piece world alive. Good luck guys!! 👍

The young and passionate fans as staff was the right call in my opinion. One Piece fans will feel phoned in work from disinterested staff, and it would be impossible to give 100% if you didn't like OP. Really exicted after watching the whole vid!!
It's just heartwarming to see people work on an adaptation who are so passionate about it and want to do the source material justice. They have the utmost respect for Oda-san and his work. This is what adaptation needs to look like. Not what we have seen happening on The Witcher, where the show-runner thinks she knows better than the creator and can improve on the original work. We need humble and modest people on these projects, not those who want to put their own brand on everything first and foremost.
It's crazy how One Piece is getting a high-quality reboot, and that the directors and staff of Attack On Titan, Slam Dunk, Spy x Family, and Jujutsu Kaisen are involed in this project! We even have 3D models for the islands!
This manga truly is the Lord Of The Rings of Japan, First the manga itself, then the Toei anime, then the live action and now the remake anime. It's a generational piece of art that is truly the work of a once in a lifetime author like Eichiro Oda. I wouldn't be surprised if in future Hollywood giants like Disney/WB/Universal buy the rights and start making actual full scale Hollywood productions.
Actually OP is a bigger franchise than Lords of the rings in term of rentability lol! and has a way bigger fanbase worldwide being always really relevant in all of europe asia and middle east, even america after that live action! that remake is to make it equally popular here
I love seeing behind the scenes footage like this in any medium, whether it be in movies, tv, or music. Seeing that a good majority of the staff for The One Piece is former AoT staff has me very optimistic about the quality of this anime. Lastly, I like that one of the plans the animation producer had was to use younger staff, which I think is a good touch to give some new blood a chance.
Watching this, you can say One piece is in good hands, you can feel the passion and love of this people on One piece and I feel so grateful and excited
I’ve never read One Piece. But seeing this in production I just feel an almost otherworldly immense amount of energy and passion that I don’t know where it’s coming from. Because of that, I think I’m going to dedicate time every week to reading one piece till this comes out. I just have this feeling deep inside that I’ll miss something unforgettable if I ignore this.

Toei’s post-timeskip anime sucks ass in terms of pacing (yes, I know Wano’s animation is good), Dressrosa for example was a mess. This one could really be a masterpiece.

Usually not a fan of remakes, but since the amount of episodes and the bad pacing in later episodes are big hurdles of entry for many people, I´m all for this. More potential One Piece fans is always a win in my book ^^
This is truly amazing! The amount of detail and care this team is putting into this is so exciting and good to see. I can’t wait to see them incorporate newer lighting, shading, pallets, and background art into the remake. Plus it’s the AOT animators?? The beauty and action from that series better show up in this!
I'm getting emotional man.... This is my childhood. I literally grew up watching one piece so seeing this makes me tear up with nostalgia. One piece anime was released on 1999, the year I was born. I started watching one piece seriously at 10 year old but I started seeing one piece at our local tv stations when I was like 5. I remember as a child watching it on an internet cafe since internet at mobile devices and at homes are not a regular thing yet and the tv stations only repeats like 20 episodes in cycle everyday. Knowing this remake will bring more life to one piece and I will be able to watch it relives the anticipation and excitement. Its like Im back to my childhood waiting for my favorite anime weekly. And knowing I will be able to witness and share this feeling to the childrens of this generation is overwhelming. What a great time indeed to be a one piece fan.
You know One Piece is so amazing when animators and producers from other anime come together to work with each other on a One Piece project. I don't feel hate for those who don't give One Piece a chance and not watch it. What I feel is pity.

@@franzjack they have already shown they will do 14 seasons, assuming 2 years of each season that is 28 years, even if they manage to do 1 season per year which is unlikely it is 14 years. Also we don't know how long one piece has left, if one piece manga takes longer than expected to finish it might be 30+ years

It's truly insane how - in theory - Oda's artstyle seems like it should be really simple to emulate, but in reality it takes a full-on animation team of some of the best studying every minute aspect of his compositions to truly derive the essence of One Piece onto moving picture.

I'm so unbelievably excited for this recreation aaa it's going to be amazing and already you can see how passionate this entire team is to work on One Piece. Loved their approach of recreating the entire town in 3D to think about the geography and possible angles. Really shows the passion and is surely going to make the world feel more real. All the best for this incredible project, hopefully you can go all the way.
When they showed some concept arts I shed some tears. It reminded me of my childhhood when I watched One Piece for the first time with ger dub, every day after school and work season by season. I just love One Piece!

I'm pretty sure it's just for reference. They can use it to look at where something is happening from different angles. Then they can fill in the characters, action and redraw the background.
Some of them practice drawing the CLOUDS!!! Some of them bought 3-4 books just so they could draw decent french cuisine! I loved this. So excited for this release. I can already feel the love from the artists towards the manga. Can't wait to see the end product.
Well the description in the original announcement vid said starting with east blue. Idk if anime studios ever work more than one season at a time, but if they do, then it's probably s2 work. Everything we know so far implies that s1 only covers east blue. If it went beyond east blue, I feel like that'd be too long for one season.

No need to exaggerate everything...Oda's touch will be lost changing everything..just need cool animation and beautiful soundtrack and awesome backgrounds...and good voice acting... Nothing extraordinarily different

1. I'm elated at the quality and attention to detail that the studio is bringing to this 2. The youthful staff working on it, who are probably already One Piece fans in one way or another, has me excited 3. It's gonna take some getting used to if they use different voice actors than the original, but that's okay I guess 4. I was slightly hoping we'd get the more tan character design for Robin back, but from the images seen it seems like we'll be getting a less tan Usopp 😭 It's not too late to fix this, Netflix x Wit 5. Overall, I'm just glad that at least some viewers who are daunted by the sheer size of the original will be able to watch this version from the beginning. Plus plenty of OP TH-camrs will not be out of a job when the manga and Toei versions end. 頑張ってください、同志たち！
WIT Studio did justice on Ranking of Kings anime and that was based on a very old manga. I'm sure they can do One Piece justice. Everything looks fairly great already!

I mean, the voice actor for Dragon is 87 years old (the oldest one piece VA that I know of) and Mayumi Tanaka is 69. So I agree they should get new VA's.

ウソップの肌が白くなったと言っている人がいますがこれは漫画の肌の色に戻っただけです。近年のアニメでは色々な肌のキャラクターが出てきますが、2000年代より前の漫画ではキャラクター達の肌は均一なのが多いです。これはこの時代に漫画が基本的に日本でしか読まれなかったため日本をモチーフとして作られているからです。（日本は単一国家なので日本の9割以上が日本人です）ちなみに尾田がワンピースのキャラにイメージの出身地を与えたのはこれから約10年以上後のことあります。
また、アニメでは前の制作スタジオと同じ色にするのはかなり難しいです。（今回の作画にも言えますが背景との組み合いが重要なので）
もしも仮に、肌の色だけで語るならウソップや2年前のロビンは日焼けした日本人より白いです。なので、日本人にとってはロビンは砂漠にいて日焼けをし2年間雪山にいたので日焼けをしなくなり、それは白くなるだろうと言う考えです。
まだ現状は、ラフスケッチの状態なのでキャラや背景を含めて全体的に薄く描かれているので色々と変わる可能性は十分にあります。

The young and passionate fans as staff was the right call in my opinion. One Piece fans will feel phoned in work from disinterested staff, and it would be impossible to give 100% if you didn't like OP. Really exicted after watching the whole vid!!

It's just heartwarming to see people work on an adaptation who are so passionate about it and want to do the source material justice. They have the utmost respect for Oda-san and his work. This is what adaptation needs to look like. Not what we have seen happening on The Witcher, where the show-runner thinks she knows better than the creator and can improve on the original work. We need humble and modest people on these projects, not those who want to put their own brand on everything first and foremost.
Hopefully, this will turn out to become the Lord of the Rings of Anime :)
It's crazy how One Piece is getting a high-quality reboot, and that the directors and staff of Attack On Titan, Slam Dunk, Spy x Family, and Jujutsu Kaisen are involed in this project! We even have 3D models for the islands!

This manga truly is the Lord Of The Rings of Japan, First the manga itself, then the Toei anime, then the live action and now the remake anime. It's a generational piece of art that is truly the work of a once in a lifetime author like Eichiro Oda. I wouldn't be surprised if in future Hollywood giants like Disney/WB/Universal buy the rights and start making actual full scale Hollywood productions.

I love seeing behind the scenes footage like this in any medium, whether it be in movies, tv, or music. Seeing that a good majority of the staff for The One Piece is former AoT staff has me very optimistic about the quality of this anime. Lastly, I like that one of the plans the animation producer had was to use younger staff, which I think is a good touch to give some new blood a chance.
Watching this, you can say One piece is in good hands, you can feel the passion and love of this people on One piece and I feel so grateful and excited
I’ve never read One Piece. But seeing this in production I just feel an almost otherworldly immense amount of energy and passion that I don’t know where it’s coming from. Because of that, I think I’m going to dedicate time every week to reading one piece till this comes out. I just have this feeling deep inside that I’ll miss something unforgettable if I ignore this.

Man being a one piece fan since 2012 is definitely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life.
2004 on 4KIDS, 2009 on 'current,' then i fell actual head-over-heels for the series upon experiencing the full water 7-enies lobby in spring break 2010 HS junior year.

I really like how all staff members are passionate, excited and they love One Piece that's the best thing. This is crazy they're ready to work on such big series knowing how much big fandom One Piece has. This shows us that they're serious about PROJECT
I have high hops from this. I can't imagine how amazing it is to grow up on One Piece and then have a chance to be able to work on it. 20:21 as well is just so wholesome. Please take your time to create this masterpiece.
If WIT Studio really makes this anime from page to screen, and zero filler whatsoever, then it will be truly undeniable at that point: One Piece is the greatest anime, manga, and work of fiction. (And I’m in the camp that thinks Toei’s One Piece is a masterpiece.)

Toei’s post-timeskip anime sucks ass in terms of pacing (yes, I know Wano’s animation is good), Dressrosa for example was a mess. This one could really be a masterpiece.

Usually not a fan of remakes, but since the amount of episodes and the bad pacing in later episodes are big hurdles of entry for many people, I´m all for this. More potential One Piece fans is always a win in my book ^^
This is truly amazing! The amount of detail and care this team is putting into this is so exciting and good to see. I can’t wait to see them incorporate newer lighting, shading, pallets, and background art into the remake. Plus it’s the AOT animators?? The beauty and action from that series better show up in this!

I'm getting emotional man.... This is my childhood. I literally grew up watching one piece so seeing this makes me tear up with nostalgia. One piece anime was released on 1999, the year I was born. I started watching one piece seriously at 10 year old but I started seeing one piece at our local tv stations when I was like 5. I remember as a child watching it on an internet cafe since internet at mobile devices and at homes are not a regular thing yet and the tv stations only repeats like 20 episodes in cycle everyday. Knowing this remake will bring more life to one piece and I will be able to watch it relives the anticipation and excitement. Its like Im back to my childhood waiting for my favorite anime weekly. And knowing I will be able to witness and share this feeling to the childrens of this generation is overwhelming. What a great time indeed to be a one piece fan.

@@franzjack they have already shown they will do 14 seasons, assuming 2 years of each season that is 28 years, even if they manage to do 1 season per year which is unlikely it is 14 years. Also we don't know how long one piece has left, if one piece manga takes longer than expected to finish it might be 30+ years

It's truly insane how - in theory - Oda's artstyle seems like it should be really simple to emulate, but in reality it takes a full-on animation team of some of the best studying every minute aspect of his compositions to truly derive the essence of One Piece onto moving picture.

I'm so unbelievably excited for this recreation aaa it's going to be amazing and already you can see how passionate this entire team is to work on One Piece. Loved their approach of recreating the entire town in 3D to think about the geography and possible angles. Really shows the passion and is surely going to make the world feel more real.

Some of them practice drawing the CLOUDS!!! Some of them bought 3-4 books just so they could draw decent french cuisine! I loved this. So excited for this release. I can already feel the love from the artists towards the manga. Can't wait to see the end product.

Well the description in the original announcement vid said starting with east blue. Idk if anime studios ever work more than one season at a time, but if they do, then it's probably s2 work. Everything we know so far implies that s1 only covers east blue. If it went beyond east blue, I feel like that'd be too long for one season.

1. I'm elated at the quality and attention to detail that the studio is bringing to this
2. The youthful staff working on it, who are probably already One Piece fans in one way or another, has me excited
3. It's gonna take some getting used to if they use different voice actors than the original, but that's okay I guess
4. I was slightly hoping we'd get the more tan character design for Robin back, but from the images seen it seems like we'll be getting a less tan Usopp 😭 It's not too late to fix this, Netflix x Wit
5. Overall, I'm just glad that at least some viewers who are daunted by the sheer size of the original will be able to watch this version from the beginning. Plus plenty of OP TH-camrs will not be out of a job when the manga and Toei versions end.
