A tip I heard regarding ultrasonic cleaners. Is that you don't have to put as much of the chemical to fill the bath. Many say that just putting the item you want cleaned in a ziploc and filling that tiny bag with say 99% alcohol or whichever solution you use. And then just filling the tank with water would work. I would recommend that look up if your cleaner can handle being filled with Water in the tank.
For sure no one should just pour IPA in the tank the friction and fumes are just fire hazard. But if it is in enclosed plastic it supposedly should be safer. That and the point is for when you need to clean a smaller item and you don't want to waste your cleaning solution. Again no real experience with ultrasonic cleaners let alone using IPA with ultrasonic cleaners. And I am looking forward for your SP common failure and fixes. As someone who really wants to buy a lot of broken gameboys and frankestein a working one such videos are lifeline for a clueless newbie.
70% Vinegar helps with corrosion. It's safer on the board than CLR as long as you rinse it off right after. It needs to be top level corrosion though. If it actually got in to the board, seems like there isn't much to do.
I just used simple green for the first time in my ultrasonic. Wow, my motherboards are super clean looking now. Thanks for this video.

Do NOT use isopropyl alcohol with ultrasonic cleaners! Unless you like fire and explosions

Yeah most of my corrosion problems are deep in the board :/

Try using WD-40. Works for me
