Years ago I went on a cruise to Alaska and most of the staff were from the Philippines. It was the same they worked 11 mos and one month off. It broke my heart to know that many of them are away from their loved ones that long. They are very good respectful kind workers. You can always rely on a Filipino worker. They are trustworthy and do a good job.
@@BecomingFilipino Roughly half of the nursing and support staff where I work are Filipinos. So much so that Phil. independence day is celebrated every June and everyone of them chips in for lechon and karaoke for all. I got a call one winter midnight due to heating failure. Later as I was washing the industrial grease off my hands, the Filipina nurse supervisor came over to the maintenance shop and gave me coffee. And then one of the aides came over with a balot and two pieces of rice sweets wrapped in banana leaves. Really good that I now order the rice sweets as my contribution every time I get invited to a gathering, and it is always a big hit. The girl is from Ilocos.
@@BecomingFilipino it’s were I started to learn Tagalog broken of course. All of my neighbours are mostly Filipino here in North Vancouver. Most of my coworkers are Filipino in dental. Thank you KULAS for visiting Mindoro Island. My wife and I put Mindoro in our top five places for possible retirement, mainly so she’s close to family in Manila and so much History. Power on.✌🏻🇵🇭
So many beautiful ancestral homes in Naujan and the best part is that they all seem to be in good condition and being lived in. It is so sad to see them in other cities where they are in such disrepair and looking as though they're just waiting for the day when they will collapse under their own weight. The town of Naujan may be small but it looks like a very nice place to visit. What an amazing church Simbahang Bato is. Truly one of the most unique churches anywhere! Casa Gracia's looked so magical with all of the lighted parols hanging all about..
Watching your vlogs is so inspiring always. You do it sincerely and there is an evident sign of genuine appreciation of our culture (mine and yours, now). You have surpassed all others in the way you delivered your documentaries. You are indeed, one of us, Kyle. ❤
Thank you for passing by my birthplace Naujan. I was born near the Simbahang Bato and grew up there. I now live in Los Angeles, California. More power to you and take good care. God bless you all the time.
