    Just binged all your videos on the greenhouse. Love the project and love the spontaneous and non-hyped way you talk about it. Can't wait to see how your beautiful ecosystem grows and diversifies!

    I can see why WWR said your channel would do so well this year, it's amazing how much you've done already and I can't wait to see what it'll look like in future!

    Came here from WWR’s suggestion and binged the entire video series in chronological order. Wow!! Such a cool project and I just love how raw you’re doing it, learning as you go and not afraid to make mistakes! Sad that I’m all caught up, but looking forward to the next ones!

    I think butterflies would look really good and the snakler species would add some new enrichment food for the skinks.

    I just found your channel a week ago, and this thing is amazing. One thing that might be cool to add could be some birds. Idk if they would eat anything in the greenhouse, but I think some smaller, colorful birds would be cool to add. Maybe they could eventually fly up to you and land on your shoulders and stuff like at the zoo

    • @ALifeExotic
      @ALifeExotic  ปีที่แล้ว

      So I do plan to add at least one bird! A very, very, amazing, awesome, dream bird lol

    Coming along nicely. What about getting some big thick oak branches so it would fill the upper part of the greenhouse, till the living plants get bigger. Also it would be good for lizards basking. And cheap! What about using oak/beech for leaf litter, they won't last as long, but free.

    • @ALifeExotic
      @ALifeExotic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oak branches would be difficult to mount because of the weight of them. But I am building a big faux tree and vines and stuff to add structure. Also I’ve done oak leaves in here but they rot waaay too fast

      @@ALifeExotic just seen your next video about the big cork bark tree, sounds great. I did hear the last bit when you said about UV, have you looked into ETFE plastic, it was used in the Eden project in Cornwall, England. It lets UV through, a top "window" of it could be used in the greenhouse. This is what I'm going to use when I build my tropical greenhouse, two layers of it and a blanket that rolls down in-between the two layers to keep the heat in at night, like the Chinese style greenhouse.
      Just as a thought on leafs, would laurel leafs be more available where your are? There used alot in England for hedges, so very common, there thick and evergreen like magnolia.
      Looking forward to see your next big tree structure.

    Maybe an in ground pond would be good for the animals too. A bit dangerous for the lizards and frogs in the big pond.

    I love what you're doing, i have been planning an indoor jungle green house for about 3 years, it's how i ended up on your channel. My only concern is ecosystem compatibility... It looks like you have South American species mixed with Asian (and others). Most cohesive eco systems work because each species has its place in that ecosystems, won't the mix cause conflicts? Species competing for the same place? Just food for thought... Anyway i look forward to your answer and the next video, keep up the great work!

      Which particular animals are you thinking about ? It seems to me that there is more than enough food for every animal in his greenhouse, and he could even add more of them without the food going scarcer so I don't see the different locations of animals becoming a problem, but I might be wrong

    • @Jetta4TDIR
      @Jetta4TDIR ปีที่แล้ว

      @@galeregermain6491 it's not really about the animals having enough food its about whether or not the different species being able to live in balance... Think along the lines of what impact an invasive species has... Prime examples: lion fish off US coast, the pythons in florida the iguana are all invasive species that are causing havoc with the local ecology... I'm curious if animals in this greenhouse can live in harmony or not
