I absolutely adore this performance, even moreso because of its imperfection if that makes sense. I love the “perfection” of the earlier tours/performances as much as anyone else, but I have a special appreciation for how she could use her voice even when it was not in a place to be flawless. It’s a testament to her artistry. The Bb5 near the end was such a pleasant surprise as well. There will never be a day that I don’t love this woman and respect all of her contributions to the world.
How heartwarmingly tender she is here: majestic, as if cast from a single mold. And the band keeps the timing dazzlingly, as if on a side track. Big train station for the Queen. ♥️♥️💕💕
OMGGG. My favorite part about late 1994 Whitney (and now early 1995) is how she started experimenting with her vocals more and how she executed vocal lines differently. Sounds like she hasn't fully recuperated from the tour yet but nevertheless an amazing performance ❤
