@CGS Dude wtf, NCR has been around since Fallout 2 with tandi, it the natural course of every postapocaliptic world, tryng to restore the old values of democracy, market, and the state, It has interesting tropes like the advantages that landlords of big cattle companies take from that model of society, how the corruption affects the burocratic system impose by those who say that they fight for morality instead of just money, at least is more intersting politically than literraly "WE STOLE YOUR HIGH TECH BECAUSE WE ARE KNIGHTS"
@@skyyy7544 Legion its fucking cool too, not because they are edgy slavers, but because it shows how to make a society from literraly tribe men, NCR got it easy since it was based on a city with traders and civilized people (shady sands), while caesar had to work with canibals and almost animals.
@@skyyy7544 not at all, the discipline of the legion is far better than ncr, their generals are profesionals in tactics and strategists, they know warfare tacticts and use modern weaponry, their stric military trainning conbine with the lack of drugs and their loyalty makes them an organise empire based on the pax romana, all the soldiers from the legion have studied english and latin, of course the are a bunch of rapist and monster in general, like raiders, but that doesnt make them savages, only fucking cunts
Say what you want about NCR's corruption and all their flaws, right now they are the strongest and the most widely spread faction in the canon. Only other one that even comes close is the east coast brotherhood due their civilian conscription thanks to Elder Lyons. And even then they stand no chance aganist the sheer numbers of NCR.
Yep, for all the Brotherhood's superior training. You can only hold out against so many bullets and guns for so long. The NCR basically overwhelmed the Brotherhood on the west coast.
@Chin Crimson the thing about both the NCR's manpower and industry is that not only they have an advantage with the current set of their forces (the thing about advanced technology, you can outfit less troops with them) but, more importantly, they can replace their losses, which the brotherhood can't
@Chin Crimson pretty sure if the NCR gets invaded by the east brotherhood, they would retreat from the Mojave. And generally, the philosophy about recruitment hasn't really changed much from the Og BoS, so expanding wouldn't increase their manpower pool. Add the fact that to invade, even if they had such stuff they mist abandon their manpower pools (which due to the sheer size and security of the ncr, the east can't match, even under a similar government) and manufacturing base, since establishing supply chains across the country is impossible. Generally, the calculus of power in troop quality and quantity alone, and the supply issue favours overwhelmingly the NCR, with the home field advantage and generally a larger industry. Plus, the equipment we see from the East BoS is pretty close to their full capability, whereas what we've seen from the NCR is definitely not. I always imagined the full, homeland sight of the NCR to be similar to what shown on Fallout: Frontier, so there is the argument of quality as well.
The NCR is far bigger than shady sands, even if its the capital, the chain of command will prevent the NCR from falling, unlike the Legion that dies with caesar, or the BoS that is already divided. Its like if someone kills the actual president, he would get replace, besides, Kimball wasnt like Tandhi, he was less of a figure and more like a public sevant,.

Wow Shady Sands got nuclear wintered. The capital of NCR with tens of thousands of soldiers bombed by a vault. I can imagine them scouring California for everything it can offer yet Santa Monica vaults remain untouched and a hard on BOS chapter is chilling right inside their territory.
Its so unrealistic. FNV. stated that they conquered the whole of California therfore moving to the Mojave. Meaning they cleaned house at their home base yet they got bombed by locals. Yet whats left of their regime is fucking raiders. RAIDERS for gods sake there are so many great and developed characters from FNV heck an NCR ranger that served for decades yet the banner they served died off screen due to shit and biased writing. I really dont think the show understood the NCR.
When they had the vault dweller find the NCR flag they played Fallout's 4 theme and not the NCR theme. Like wtf?
No New Vegas fan wants to see the NCR degenerate into literal raiders. What made the NCR so memerable is the clash between their idealism and the cynical reality of being an actual government. I dont want them to be plucky generic rebels, I want the Bear!
thanks for saying what I wanted to say.
they are the rebuilders of a new order and democracy that offers hope for a dismal world, not scoundrel in league with raiders.
@@kimetsu_kidsThe NCR is flawed, I mean that is one of their biggest draws to me though. Their flaws are realistic and are complex enough that you can't just fix them by asking really nicely for them to do better. But the flaws don't change the fact that they promise something better and greater than living in some scrap shack in the wasteland with no rule of law.
The shows defenders act like I want them to only succeed and they are the golden boys that can do no wrong, both are wrong. But what the show did was too much and too far. It just felt mean spirited and spiteful.

The best factions of the Fallout series
@CGS you can't say that when the legion and bos exist
@@elmecaniconaranja1126 and they're still savages
@Chin Crimson the ncr can keep throwing men at the brotherhood, while the BoS can't sustain a protracted war
They stand even less chance in my gameplay now that the Prydwen is an ash pile.
One of the Ranger vets looked at me I just about up and surrendered
The republic is officially dead !!! Todd killed it! The toddification of fallout is complete !

War never changes. The NCR couldn't last.
@@hazb8026 Bullshit there is nothing to advance with destroying the NCR it just devolved the west into early wasteland again with the most stupid reason possible, wiping out he biggest and most powerful faction like if it was a thanos snap its one of the laziest lamest and mediocre plot devices ever done to the franchise, if you wanted to show their decline should have been one of the main storylines for this season but it was in the way for the showrunners telling their own mediocre plot and they dumped itfor convenience. They are not trying to. They've been very clear that New Vegas is still canon. The chalk board was a bit vague on what "The fall of Shady Sands" meant, but it was referring to a gradual decline that happened over time, BEFORE it was nuked.
