Also, RB4 Rivals has more songs, instruments and modes.

Don't quote me on this... I think the Rock Band Rivals bundle I got had a disk that was the full game and the expansion was a code. Granted, I had it downloaded to my console already digitally, but I THINK there was a full game in Rivals wrapping.
IMO, game experience isn't really different (cause the concept's the same), but charging dock is super nice because it saves from long-term battery buying. Foldable neck is also cool if needed to be portable.

Rock Band's built guitars that way since they started. The five up top are standard, that's how Harmonix did it when they were the Guitar Hero people, but the buttons I'm using, I'm pretty sure you can tap them without strumming during solo parts. By habit, I still strum during a lot of solos, but it's an option

Rocksmith is cool and a good way of learning guitar, but Rock Band and real guitar playing are totally different abilities, a lot of awesome guitarists are bullshit at Rock Band and vice-versa, some do both too.

It's just a download code in the case if you buy the retail version. The disc that comes with it is just regular RB4 with different art.
