- Hey you guys! Slayer did not disappoint! We loved the melodic beginning , all the flawless transitions , the powerful riffs, slashing solos, the demanding drums style and Tom's spear-like voice! This was so much different than War ensemble, yet it carried the same power and aggressiveness! We appreciated the transitions in the music and yes, the drums as well! LOL! We hope you like our reaction as much as we loved reacting to the vide! And as always stay safe and we'll see you in our next video!

@@danasfaith5738 again, the pleasure is all mine! I'm just a middle-aged dude with young ones of my own hoping that I can impart on them my musical loves and tastes. It gives me great pleasure to see the younger generation taking hold and running with it and spreading the good word. It gives me hope for the future. As I've said previously in other videos, I keep seeing all the same genres of music being given attention while rock/metal are denigrated as "noise". It gives me hope for future generations when I see the young ones embrace it!
As I said... pleasure is all on this side of the internet. I hate to presume, but one of my favorite "newer" bands doesn't get much love and I am trying to spread the word. Even though they're quiet famous, there's a dearth of reactions to them, and I've been trying to start a trend. Chevelle is awesome, and my absolute favorite song is Sleep Apnea. Again, hate to presume, or interject my own request, just throwing it out there! ;)

Its crazy that they always use music terms correctly. Most people get terms like harmony, pitch, and tone confused all the time. But not these two.
Dave Lombardo was a big reason why I switched from learning guitar to taking drum lessons in the early 80s. He was also the drummer on Testament's 1999 album The Gathering and did 2 albums and an EP with Suicidal Tendencies, World Gone Mad, Get Your Fight On (EP) in 2016 and Still Cyco After All These Years in 2018. He also played for Grip Inc, Fantômas and Dead Cross.

My buddy Craig Locicero played for them for a little while. Check out FORBIDDEN. When I was driving them to gigs in THE CITY they were know as Forbidden Evil and had Rob Flynn playing the other lead guitar 🤘😎🤘

This song has some of Dave Lombardo's best drum fills. The band just was not the same without him.
Here's one for you girls! Hank Williams III is the third generation rule breaker. His two ancesters Hank Williams and Hank Williams jr was kind of bad boys of there time....
Dave Lombardo was a huge part of their powerful sound. Though Gary Bostaph is a sick drummer without Dave something is really missing.

I’ve loved SLAYER since I was 10 when I first heard Reign In Blood in 1987 as the records came out they were like soundtracks for the chapters of my life. I finally saw them in concert last year on their Farewell Tour.
Your channel popped up as recommendations,definitely i subscribed. It's pretty cool to see both of you so young. Keep it up. I have seen Slayer twice on their final world tour.

Back when I was in the Army I had a very loud stereo. I would set it up to wake me in the morning with this track. It was good for it because it would wake you up but also kind of wakes up with you. I would be ready for formation and ready to run by the the end of the song. One day I forgot to set it and missed formation and so did half of the people on that side of the barracks building including the floors above and below my room. After that I would get reminded at least ten times every night not to forget. Apparently allot of my fellow soldiers stopped even setting an alarm expecting mine to do it.

Great video! Since it looks like you girls are getting into some old school thrash metal, here's what I recommend as far as albums and individual songs:
1) Eerie Inhabitants and Disciples of the Watch from Testament's The New Order record (1988)
2) Tornado of Souls and Holy Wars from Megadeth's Rust in Peace record (1990)
3) Seemingly Endless Time from Death Angel's Act III record (1990)
Honestly, Death Angel's newer records are better than their old ones. Either way, I could not recommend DA more, they're awesome!

Seasons in the Abyss was my first Slayer album. It got me hooked on the band and I can recommend pretty much every song on the album. In addition, check out South of Heaven.
Love to see young metalheads picking up the flag for the next generation.
Slayer are one of the greatest bands of all time! I have seen them live so many times! It´s so sad that Jeff has died (R.I.P.), he actually wrote this song, among many of their "hits"!
He also wrote "War Ensemble" and I don´t think your reaction to that song was that bad. I liked it!

Ghost of War is a great suggestion. Hardly anyone has reviewed that song by Slayer. And that is fast and heavy. Off of my favorite Slayer album South of Heaven. Silent Scream is good too and also on South of Heaven.

Would like to see a Danzig reaction too, something besides Mother off their first album. "Devil's Plaything" off of Lucifuge, or "Bringer of Death" off Danzig 4 album, or "Night Star Hel" off DethRed Sabaoth album. Gotta be some Danzig fans out there.

@@ericadams1849 That is salmiakki. Ammonium cloride. Finns always want their foreign friends to try it. I think most of them don't like it. Some do, even love it. Many Finns take a big load of salmiakki with them, if they leave Finland for a longer period of time. Finnish kids love salmiakki too, even though the taste is quite strong. And they sell salmiakki in pharmacies here in Finland.

One of the toughest bands to open for of all time. Saw them with Anthrax opening and throughout Anthrax the crowd chanted "Slayer....Slayer....Slayer." No shade on Anthrax, but Slayer is epic.

the drummer, Dave Lombardo, is considered by MANY to be one of if not THE best metal drummer ever. One of the best drummers of any genre in my opinion..... SLAYER live and in person was something to witness, sorry you will probably never get to see that......videos are cool though....lol
This was the first song that I truly appreciated from them, as I never heard them harmonize their vocals before this song. Check out South of Heaven by them! The guitars on that song are truly epic!
