Lingyi is starting to stand up to his mother's baseless accusations against Shiyi. The more Lianfang tries to push Shiyi out of the family the harder Lingyi is going to fight for her. He's not blinded by birth status like his mother is so he's going to continue to fight for Shiyi. Lianfang is only pushing them closer/closer together. She's so incompetent that she doesn't even realize that her actions is having the opposite effect and the bond between Lingyi/Shiyi is going to continue to grow. Shiyi is very smart. She knows something is very fishy about Zhun's illness. She's going to figure out that Lianfang is behind what's going on. Unfortunately the great Madam is going to continue to be a problem because she's going to defend Lianfang no matter what she does because she's a legitimate daughter.
I really like the drama but the mother is so wrong on all levels, she can like who she wants but she can't make her son love a person that he doesn't care for, my way of seeing this is he has seen through this person already, so the mother needs to just leave her son alone and let him love who he wants.
