One of the problems that I see people bring up, is that Tirek saying that no one can control Chaos magic when he himself did. Fact is, he didn't. He merely absorbed the power and converted it into his own brand of magic.
He ate it to increase his destructive magic and only after he ate every pony in equestria and two alicorns, he wasn't controlling it, it was fuel in his belly.
Actually ACTUALLY... Tirek could not control, neither "process" any of the Chaos Magic. -> Tirek grew almost NOTHING when he absorbed ALL the magic of Discord. . Discord has shown in S4E25 that he can use a bit of the more "common" Arcana_based unicorn magic when he was levitating some stuff in his diguised "tornado CM" unicorn form (he had to display it in order to LURE old_frail Tirek). -> This is also likely the same magic """Grogar""" gave to Tirek to restore his youth [probably also the "original" magic of Discord, if the headcanons that he was not born with his current chaos magic is correct]. Tirek probably had to "Secure & Contain" the chaos magic when he "drained" it (preventing Discord or any other creature to ever use it against him), something that may have hindered him a bit on his fight against SUPER_Twilight [ given that he was calculating to be able to defeat her in combat ]. -> Inteligent as he is, this time Tirek is taking care of not "poison" himself with too much weird magic [hence why he splitted the Real Grogar´s ancient unknown magic with Cozy & Chrysalis] & not "asimilating" the "old_magic" of the Pilars (he grew up exactly 0 pixels) after taking all of it [specially egregious with the case of Rockhoof].

This first part took off like a shot! My heart kept on racing with each exciting moment that went by. The reveal of Grogar being Discord was kinda jarring, but it’s a minor thing. Though I would have liked him to have a prominent role here. The first confrontations between the heroes and villains are very engaging, especially the battle between Starlight and Chrysalis. All of that gave me serious Avengers vibes and I love it! Loving your reaction to this!
The only thing i found to be disappointing about part one of this episode is that Grogar turned out to be Discord in disguise, i mean Grogar had so much potential as a character, i mean don't get me wrong i am all for a good plot twist, but i'm one of the people who wonder how the finale would of played out if it was the real Grogar.
I didn't mind. I was always more interested in the team up part. With Grogar, I was more interested in who he _was_ and his place in Equestria's history rather than who he _is_ in current day. Jim said it best, it was better that the finale focus on those three, who had much more connection to our heroes than Grogar would have, making it much more personal. And there is still time for the comics to reveal more to us about Grogar's fight with Gusty and whatnot. We know the Grogar in season 9 was a lie, but Discord confirmed that what the Legion absorbed from the bell was the _real_ Grogar's magic. I am glad we didn't have Grogar in the finale, because I feel like the Legion's dynamic worked pretty well, with none of them being the leader.
I never suspected 10 years ago that I'd have such a connection to my little pony. In the time that this show has been running I've met my now wife, gotten married, and had a pair of twins. I'm a grown ass man, and when Mrs. Crustacean and I sat down to watch the finale and the epilogue we ran out, *out* of tissues.

Thinking about it. Ponies are both easy to fool but also quick to forgive when the dust settles. I think this is what has kept their society from breaking down. Even if it does it's always temporary.
Actually... this would have being a much better way to "represent" the efforts of the Student 6 (+pony_race special guests); as it would propely explain from WHERE is that "white soft" magic coming from [the unicorns were not actively casting anything while Twilight was teleporting & re-powering the Pilars]. -> Extra bonus points if by doing this dragons stop flying, ponies lose their cutiemarks & changelings turn grey (implying they are "taking a serious risk" by trusting each others & giving out their magic willingly to Twilight in order to finish this... WORLD WAR).

I love the Grogar twist, just because we're a decade in, half the plot had been spoiled through thumbnails and titles of leaked clips, but those motherfuckers got me to pause the episode for a minute, one last time, while I picked my jaw off the floor
Wow though. Lol Poor DWK might just lose it big time given what was revealed in this part. Although who knows, he might mellow out because its the last two parter. Eitherway I can't wait to see that.
It *was* super easy for Chrissy to spread dissent between the ponies. My guess is that ponies aren't used to being lied to the way humans are. Certainly not about big, important things. I suspect the pony brain says, "This is an important thing. Who would lie about something so important? Must be true, then!" Even still pretending to be Grogar, he could easily have broken free and avoided getting zapped by the bell. 10:16 okay, unicorns becoming untrusting of Earth Ponies or not, this is APPLEJACK, a very known savior of Equestria and good friend to the incoming new ruler of Equestria. Something tells me this guard's either always had a hidden grudge against Earth Ponies or Applejack herself for a long time and is now using the rumors Cheese Legs has been spreading as an excuse to let his true feelings dictate his actions . Twi, fire his ass once you're in charge, okay? 13:23 so, if I've got this right, and I've had over 3 weeks to think it over, the real Grogar is dead and he was defeated not by Gusty the Great merely stealing his Bewitching Bell, but by stealing it and draining his magic with it, making him vulnerable and was killed by the Early Equestrians, likely in a war that had all creatures of Equestria, Griffiths, Hippogryffs, Kirin, Ponies, Dragons, Diamond Dogs, you name it. 18:37 as I mentioned back in The Summer Sun Setback, the animators either forgot or just didn't care that when Tirek fully drains a pony of their magic, their Cutie Mark vanishes too. It's even more glaring here though, since they remembered Rockhoof's over abundance of Earth Pony magic is what gives him his massive size and losing it reverts him back to the scrawny pony he was before... yet still has his Cutie Mark. Somnambula too, when her magic is drained. 21:15 pot, meet kettle. 21:30 they missed the chance with that line in the dutch dub, so I am extremely happy they used it here 😁 21:57 your ass was LITERALLY saved at the last second there, Cozy. Had Cheese Legs and Tirek taken even half a minute longer to get there, Discord would've already gotten his magic back, as would the Princesses and you'd have been SO screwed, with neither of the other two likely bothering to help you because they'd have to fight everyone else because of your failure to beat them on your own, even with two Alicorns and the Lord of Chaos already out of the picture
As awesome as every part of this was, the one moment that shocked me the most when I first saw it was the Canterlot castle *destroyed* by them. The huge light show, a part of the show for 9 seasons, so easily destroyed.
Blank Slate, I thank you and have enjoyed your reaction videos. That said, I'm gonna skip these last few for now. I'm salty about certain plot developments in the final eps. As for the epilogue, I've already cried enough. Don't need to do so again. Take it easy and stay awesome.

Everyone gather around. Three of the biggest villains have joined forces. These include Tires, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow. So here's my plan. We march troops to the South and west border. Use your muskets and cannons to do as much damage and distracting as possible. Second we need to assemble for a charge and strike. We get the biggest and toughest ponies in the front. They will act as the main brunt of the force. When that's all said and done. We then take a cart full of weight with spikes on the front and roll them down the hill hopefully wounding the three villains. Then to finish them off we have built a Tsar Bomba. This bomb will descentigrate everything in it's path so once you here the sirens. The unicorns and alicorns will try and teleport you all as far away as possible.

Everyone gather around. Three of the biggest villains have joined forces. These include Tires, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow. So here's my plan. We march troops to the South and west border. Use your muskets and cannons to do as much damage and distracting as possible. Second we need to assemble for a charge and strike. We get the biggest and toughest ponies in the front. They will act as the main brunt of the force. When that's all said and done. We then take a cart full of weight with spikes on the front and roll them down the hill hopefully wounding the three villains. Then to finish them off we have built a Tsar Bomba. This bomb will descentigrate everything in it's path so once you here the sirens. The unicorns and alicorns will try and teleport you all as far away as possible.
