This is on a PS5 Disc Version that i had previously replaced the Power Supply on

Used to open ipad and remove glued back covers on phones

When using the heat gun near sensitive parts, its best to cover them
With this to protect them

The usual tape i use on most repairs, on screens

Thank you. I was confident I connected the cable when I removed it for cleaning. Just to be sure after checking this video I again checked and the cable was disconnected as I keep it in vertical orientation. Thanks Man!

It's nice that you repaired it for free, mine has had the same issue since I got my USB port replaced and the same guy is trying to charge me to fix the blu ray cable 😮💨 worried about doing it myself too

I was also told that maintaining the PS5 in a vertical position (instead of horizontally) tend to increase the risk of running into this problem again, is it true ?

Mine is making the beep from the disc drive button but I am still getting the SU error code. Do you think this is likely from the 4 prong cable being damaged?

@@malia7278it was the 4 prong cable outlet that came loose from mother board. Would have to solder it back on to fix it.

Hmm, i would be checking the power plug on the BR-Drive with a multi meter to see if its a Power or Data issue
i tried this and still get the same issue, any idea as to why it would still do that?

@@davidbrandenburg4102 jokes aside, no. i think the person i bought it from swapped out the disc drive for who knows what reason and after a little research, i found that changing the disc drive does nothing but bad for you since most of the components are unique to each other. basically you cant just plug n play a new disc drive from a different console because the other components will search for the disc drive that they came with.
