These majestic Bengal Tigers 🐯, known as the Argentina train tigers, celebrate two years of tranquil living at LIONSROCK Big Cat Sanctuary.
These tigers spent numerous years living in a train carriage located in San Luis, a region in the heart of Argentina.
Sandro (born 2004) & Mafalda (born 2007) were living there for 15 years with their 10-year-old sons, born in the carriage in 2011, Messi & Gustavo. Abandoned by a circus and looked after by the landowner, they spent their lives in this carriage until they were rescued and transferred to LIONSROCK 🌄 in March 2022.
Here’s to many more years of carefree living!

Thank you to all involved in their rescue. It gives all of us hope that it’s not too late to reverse all the damage that has been done to all animals. We must all come together to keep rescuing & helping them recover the atrocities they have endured.

It's a beautiful thing to see these tigers saved/ rescued and actually being in a care from people who do care. Gorgeous tigers. Paws words are never enough to express the gratitude from your team/ crew for these amazing rescues. Putting your lives in danger as well. Tysm ❣️ 🐾🐾❣️
I remember following their rescue and the joy in my heart when they came to Lion's Rock. This update makes me even happier. It's also goid to see Dr Amir see good news after the Sudan drama. It's good for the soul. May you all's work always be blessed.

Why would you thank God? God didn't do anything. If god is capable of performing any action, why did he sit on his derriere and watch for,15 years? People did it all, putting the tigers in their awful situation, and rescuing them.

disagree with the feedback somewhat. seeing the original rescuers reunite with the animals is so heart warming. It just be wonderful to see the fruits of their blood, sweat, sleepless nights, worry, negotiations etc. Plus I'm a fan of Dr Khalil. Maybe just give us more all round 4 paws x.

So glad there are people who are enough !! But please I think they need they need pools to bathe in. Tigers love water

Hi there! Thank your for your interest 🐅 The train tigers do run, especially during their enrichment activities. The train tigers have unfortunately spent 15 years confined within the narrow confines of a train wagon, unable to roam freely or experience the natural behaviours of their species. However, these tigers now spend their days basking under the African sun and frolicking in their spacious enclosures.
In western Europe at least we don't treat animals so badly. Putting tigers in small train carts for years.
Can we just see more of the tigers and not of the people talking, please!
Please don't put music over the voices. It adds nothing to the video and makes it unwatchable for so many of us.
Is there another video where we can actually see the larger enclosure rather than people talking about it?

No fueron cuidados por los propietarios!!!!! Si hubiese sido así hubiesen hecho antes la denuncia o el pedido de ayuda a un lugar abierto!!!!! Recuerden que en esa estancia se manejaba mucho dinero y poder político. Un campesino alimentaba como podía a los tigres. Los que les hicieron vivir este horror a estos animales, hoy siguen sin pagar su daño.

You showed repeated clips of Sandro - and lots of comments from the team members, which is great, but really not much if any of the other 3 tigers. How come? Appreciate all you do, deeply.
Hi there! Thank you for your interest 🐅 Sandro, the oldest of the four tigers, has endured many challenges and got very sick months after arriving at LIONSROCK Big Cat Sanctuary. We decided to show his positive recovery and how he has now settled at his new enclosure. We will certainly highlight Messi, Gustavo and Mafalda in exciting videos to come.
Thanks for letting me know- I’ve thought about them all so many times since first learning about them. Feels like they’re so special to have survived that. Bless you all 🙏
