I just got the Radiomaster TX16S Max and I think it will be my forever radio. Multi-protocol Open-TX based. My Spektrum DX8e feels inferior by miles. The best part is I can still use all my Spektrum receivers and don't have to do anything with my planes besides bind and reset my throws and such. Very stoked.
@Life with Nick and Hayley it takes off fine from grass, landings require some practice. If you come in too fast, which is easy to do, it’ll nose over. It’ll slow down way more than you’d expect. Best trick I know is to land like a delta wing, flare and continue to pull the elevator back until it sets down. Landing with about 10% throttle will keep air moving over the tail and help keep it down until you get it figured out
I believe that the small flat washer that you had left over goes inside the prop spinner onto the spinner screw. It is a spacer to keep you from breaking the spinner by overtightening it against the backplate.
Was considering buying this plane to replace my Artizan.. then it went out of stock lol. Oh well. Wallet stays full! I guess thats a win for my patience!

I had issues with the prop. when I kept putting the prop on that red part that goes to the motor and when I put the prop on it kept spinning and when I try to put the nose cone on it wouldnt line up with it and only having two hands I had to put a clamp on that part to keep it from spinning and finally got the prob tight and able to line up the cone to those slots. it was a pain in the ass. shame on HH bc it was a bitch to do
I'm thinking about getting this as my first plane can this run the 4s 5000mah or only 4s 2200mah it says 2200 on the site but it's before it says 3s I just want the best battery
Great plane! BUT don't use any battery bigger than the 4s 2200mah. It shakes it loose from the inside out! (I learned that the hard way 😳). So, I now have it's daddy! FMS 1.4m pitts.

What one would you buy,the umx or the 850 pitts?
I have both. The UMX is a hoot to fly. Very stable in windy conditions.
Is it possible to bind it with a different transmitter than the spektrum type?
