- [SUNDAY WANDERS]
This week along with my special guest Rob Glover (Epic45/Field Harmonics) travelled to Derbyshire. We visited the small town of Hadfield, which doubled as Royston Vasey during the filming of The League Of Gentlemen.

Flipping amazing CGI!!!! hahahha
Hey guys! Bloody brilliant! 👍🤣
The LOG Local Shop location was filmed on the moors overlooking Marsden, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. As you drive down Meltham Road (B6107) into Marsden, there is public footpath off to the left that takes you up to the site where the shop and the famous "Royston Vasey - You'll Never Leave" sign was positioned. The actual shop was a hollow ply wood set, consisting of just two sides, but brilliantly made to look like it had always been there!
Three sides, actually. I've been trying to locate the exact coordinates. Can you pinpoint the site?
@@lajoswinkler the site location is on google maps I've just seen. I live in Huddersfield and might take a wander up there at the weekend.
it’s funny seeing people doing tours around the town i live in :) although as a massive fan of the league of gentlemen, it’s nice to see people still want to visit royston vasey
Big fan of TLOG and your town! 🙏🏻
Ha! Ha! Love the video, i went here just as they were filming the last series, i was rumbled as being a non-local! Great people of Hadfield Thank you
Mr and Mrs Howarth the newsagents, say no more! I even got to see some precious things of the shop, The Palatine pub opposite is were the original sign is on the wall......they also know how to serve a good pint!
Your theme song is exceptionally good!
Hats off to Ben Holton from Epic45/My Autumn Empire. The guy is a genius.
Fantastic me and my wife loved this series just so addictive and very well written and big Ty ginger mark you rock
I love the show, it's one of my favourites. Thank You, Glad you enjoyed the video.
Well done! Thanks!
Well done guys - good video. I esp liked the digitally added local shop.
Your my wife now!! Love this good job hon xx
What a great video. Love filming locations. More please! Subbed.
Thank you!
This is weird I see this as apart of my every day life
You live in Royston Vasey?!
@@GingerBeardMark yes I live where it was made
The "local shop" was not digitally added, it was built on the Marsden moors. Thanks for doing this. :)
It was built on the Moors for the close ups and exterior shots. It was digitally added to the Shots when you can see it in the back ground from the town. The Gents explain it on the commentary track to the first series. Thanks for watching the vid.
I live there!!!
I might be wrong - but i think the house is actually the next one to the right.
the third house along the road not the 2nd with the caravan.
@@JamesNash-s2r You are right! 👍🏻
@@GingerBeardMark they are both so similar and the plants have changed a lot - also they had the exterior lights replaced which threw me off to start
@@JamesNash-s2r Didn’t clock it until I was editing.
@@GingerBeardMark your video has inspired me to go and do the same tour around the town.
keep up the great work.
You couldn't per chance post a list/map of where all these locations are could you, as I am going to Hadfield in a few weeks and would love to see all these locations for myself!
Also, thanks for that Spoiler Alert, I havent watched Apocalypse yet!
Great channel, keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching and the compliment. I found most of them just from my knowledge of the show, AlthoughThere are a few LOG fan websites that list the locations that a quite easy to find with a google search.
Great vid
Thanks! :-)
Good video you should do the same in bacup
Is the Town of Bacup featured in league of gentlemen?
Thanks guys. Just a question, Is It there any shop that sell merchandising about the TV series or some?
Hi Oliver. Thanks for watching the video. To answer your question, the shop at the top of the high street (Next to the train station car park) sells postcards and magnets but they aren’t official merchandise. The owner of the shop also has a lovely scrap book full of photos from the different series and film shoots which is brilliant to have a nosey through. Hope that helps.
Could you post map locations somehow? It's hard to figure out where things are in that town on google maps.
It's a shit business.😅
grim and depressing , place even in real life by looks of it
Spot on,l use to live there
