I am afraid those two "friends" will fight over who helps the bride with her dress or who holds her flowers during the ceremony. Without a maid-of-honor, she had better assign those responsibilities equally prior to the ceremony or their rivalry will disrupt her day. So this episode is actually old but the bride of this episode ended up saying that the friend who made the comment “If I’m not the maid of honor, I’m not going to be in the wedding” actually ended up not being in the wedding and didn’t even attend.

she was a reasonable bride compared to some of the others i've seen. she picked the dress SHE wanted (didn't get influenced by others), she didn't allow either one of her friends to feel less than the other, and she picked something they all feel comfortable/look good in.

Both my sister & I HATED the gowns that my sister-in-law picked without our being present (they suited her other 2 tall/slim attendants, but we were both short and "not slim") - but we kept our mouths shut, paid for, wore, then discarded them.

Many years later, reminiscing about the wedding my mother suddenly snapped: I was not going to let you wear that dress! Imagine bridesmaids bringing their mothers into the dress selection process! I suspect that's why you haven't seen it bridesmaids in decades...

Before the video even really began and they told the story of the rivalry between the two women, I immediately got a bad vibe from the one in the pink shirt. She was rolling her eyes, her face reeked of jealousy and bitterness. The bride and the other two friends seem so positive. The bride radiates happiness. I don’t care if my friend picked out the ugliest maid of honor/bridesmaid dress (if I ever get to be one), a real friend will be supportive and understand it’s the bride’s day. It’s sad too because you can tell she wants a maid of honor but doesn’t want the childish outbursts by her friends. Just based on this short video, you can tell how sweet the bride is….i don’t know how she puts up with an attitude like that- she’s acting like she’s still in high school and the bride deserves so much better. If I was the friend from elementary school my heart would be broken. They've been friends for much longer and the college friend said with her whole chest that she wouldn't be in the wedding if she wasn't the maid of honor.
True, but maids of honor typically help the bride make a lot of wedding decisions and she was saying that they would fight too much to both be able to be of any help as maids of honor.
My cousin had 2 maid of honors, myself and her younger sister. She asked me to be charge of everything that the moh is typically in charge of, but honored her sister with title as well. She also knew that her sister would pretty much be agreeable with me, as we were all close growing up. Her brides maids... well they were a different story... lol
It never ceases to amaze me how so many people think their opinion should matter more than the bride's. If you care about someone, why wouldn't you leave these decisions up to them on their wedding day?
Common sense dictates that the bride bestows her highest honor on the friend she's known the longest. That eliminates the conflict and ill feelings among everyone.

I was the opposite. My hubby had his dad for his best man and I had my little brothers gf for my maid of honour. No other wedding party needed. Also, I agree with the like 99% of the comments saying Snowflake should have been made of honour ❤️
I'm glad they both seemed cool about the bride having no MOH. But honestly, I can't imagine having a bridal party like that anyway. Snowflake seems like a sweetheart, and imo she seems like the only one that even deserves bridesmaid status. If two of my bridesmaids couldn't put their differences aside for my big day, I'd say they could both be guests instead. Y'all don't have to like each other, but there's no need to be lashing out at each other either.
There is always 2 people on the podium in conflict. And there is always one person who is just kind and sweet and its sad because nobody ever sees that one person.

Before the video even really began and they told the story of the rivalry between the two women, I immediately got a bad vibe from the one in the pink shirt. She was rolling her eyes, her face reeked of jealousy and bitterness. The bride and the other two friends seem so positive. The bride radiates happiness. I don’t care if my friend picked out the ugliest maid of honor/bridesmaid dress (if I ever get to be one), a real friend will be supportive and understand it’s the bride’s day. It’s sad too because you can tell she wants a maid of honor but doesn’t want the childish outbursts by her friends. Just based on this short video, you can tell how sweet the bride is….i don’t know how she puts up with an attitude like that- she’s acting like she’s still in high school and the bride deserves so much better. I mean, pink shirt really said ‘If I’m not the maid of honor, then I’m not gonna be apart of the wedding.’ Ugh.

I think that's a shame she has to not have a maid of honor, but I understand her decision. At the end of the day she didn't need anymore stress then what she already have. My cousin had 2 maid of honors, myself and her younger sister. She asked me to be charge of everything that the moh is typically in charge of, but honored her sister with title as well. She also knew that her sister would pretty much be agreeable with me, as we were all close growing up. Her brides maids... well they were a different story... lol

It never ceases to amaze me how so many people think their opinion should matter more than the bride's. If you care about someone, why wouldn't you leave these decisions up to them on their wedding day?
Common sense dictates that the bride bestows her highest honor on the friend she's known the longest. That eliminates the conflict and ill feelings among everyone.
But the friend she knows the longest is not always her closest friend or the person who can handle the responsibility of being the maid of honor.

I'm glad they both seemed cool about the bride having no MOH. But honestly, I can't imagine having a bridal party like that anyway. Snowflake seems like a sweetheart, and imo she seems like the only one that even deserves bridesmaid status. If two of my bridesmaids couldn't put their differences aside for my big day, I'd say they could both be guests instead. Y'all don't have to like each other, but there's no need to be lashing out at each other either.
There is always 2 people on the podium in conflict. And there is always one person who is just kind and sweet and its sad because nobody ever sees that one person.
