I remember seeing the Alpine Renaults on the RAC rally in the early 70's, drivers were Jean Luc Therier and Jean Pierre Nicolas. As a Renault R8 driver I used to love these machines and it is through watching this great video that I have bought my own Tamiya version! Hopefully have a real one some time!
One of my favorite classic sport car. And this also one of the high details body shell for M-Chassis by Tamiya. As always, Matteo can put any type of proportional RC cars to making the impressive 'real scale feeling' video. The motion of aesthetic in driving, surrounding with beautiful nature and nice music.

Beautiful car and video my friend. I am lucky enough to have just bought a pre-built, never run, Tamiya Renault Alpine A110 Monte Carlo 1971 M-05RA #58471. I already have an M06 chassis with a Lowride Pumpkin body, and wanted to try an M05RA chassis with one of my favourite Tamiya bodies. : )
Actually after watching it again it wasnt like watching a rally stage. It was more like when your watching a classic car programme and they set cool shots to music. Very very good job buddy. Think this the Tundra in the mountains and the Landfreeder videos are my three faves. A huge thank you from the UK its videos like these that have helped pull me through those right Im giving up RC moments. When we gonna see that cool toyota with its cool yellow shocks in one of these awesome vids buddy?
I agree this with the classic rallies, they don't drive the cars on the limit, because those are too valuable! My plan is to make a film of the Toyota in the summer holidays!
great video!!! did you back the paint with silver or white? the blue really pops!!!! also how did you get the front lamp to reflect yellow?.. i just got one of theses kits and want to copy your build--hope you don't mind(but it's AWESOME!!)
+NyanCatPlayz I covered the blue with white, and as last layer black. The yellow lights are only stickers, included in the kit. No problem if you build it same as mine!
Just finished building my A110 with the 5400 Damper Set, may I ask what road height have you made yours, mine looks like it's too low from the ground. On the damper set did you use the small or large plastic part that you screw onto the piston shaft? The instructions with the dampers talk about the M03/4 which one do I follow for the M06. Not sure if it's possible to send pictures but I would really appreciate if you can send a picture showing the damper on the A110 so I can see if I have it right. Once I get the ride height correct I shall paint the body

Thanks! I have upgraded the shocks, I installed alu oil damper set for M chassis. Yes there is room for leds, but you have to modify the lights by your self, it's not prepared.

And why must the four fasteners for the body go though the bonnet and rear window? I should be possible to fasten the body to the chassis at each end with hidden fasteners? Ray Allen I used the small parts at the end of the piston. You can adjust the road high with the preload screws of the springs.
