- Since 1914, buses where used for public transportation in Dresden. 40 historic buses leave the fairgrounds at the depot in Gruna for the 100th anniversary!
The festival ended with a convoy of all vehicles throughout the city starting right here. Which one do you like the most?

I always had a passion for buses since i was a kid back in the 60's. They all have a fascinating eye catching and impressive designs. Evergreen legends. Must be rather expensive to upkeep the maintaintenance now or to source for spare parts.
What a delight to watch the oldies! Kudos to all the different individuals who have maintained them in such pristine condition.

It takes a fair amount of money to keep any bus safe and road worthy. Much dedication of hours and resources went into that parade.

Oh man, ich hab Tränen in den Augen. Habe vor über 40 Jahren mit dem 66 Ikarus angefangen, bis kurz nach der Wende einen " Schlenki " gefahren 😢😢😢

Some of these buses did ply on Indian roads in the 50s and 60s when Mercedes Benz along with a local manufacturer Tata Motors build trucks and buses in India. Thanks for upload this video.
Yes one of mercedies n Bedford was actively bieng used as school bus I saw in my childhood.
Oh das waren noch Zeiten, mit einigen, bin ich schon mitgefahren.
Der blau-weiße Ikarus erinnert mich an meinen Urlaub in Tunesien vor fast 40 Jahren. Da war genau so ein Schubgelenkbus im Einsatz. Der muß wohl in einen Verkehrsunfall verwickelt gewesen sein und das Dach hat gelitten. Jedenfalls wurde er zum Vollcabrio umgebaut, mit einem Planendach, das von hölzernen Streben getragen wurde; nur in den Bereichen des Fahrers und der pneumatischen Türen behielt er Teile des Stahldaches. So wurde er im Liniendienst eingesetzt.

Nice and nostalgic one...The organizers should have displayed the year of make in each and every vehicle paraded.
It's showing , on the screen in blu strip with white letters , or you mean , on the vehicles ? In the widow ? Yes , not a bad idea , some other places , they did .

Den mit dem Anhänger kenne ich noch, als Kind bin ich immer im Anhänger mitgefahren und habe Busfahrer gespielt.
Das habe ich in den anderen Bussen auch gemacht und der richtige Busfahrer hat mit gemacht, ( jetzt rechts blinken, oder die Türen schließen hat er gesagt) wohl gemerkt als Kind.
Wie ich den ersten neuen Ikarus gesehen habe dachte ich der Busfahrer steht.
Mit dem blau weißen 1:36 bin ich allein zur Oma gefahren

Bei 1:05 stimmt der Untertitel nicht, das ist ein IFA H6, kein Ikarus 200 , der Cottbusser Ikarus ist ein 280.03 - Ansonsten n schönes VIdeo :D Ich hab damals im Chemnitzer Ikarus 280.02

Tbh Ikarus buses look nice and some even had leather seats and im talking about city ones not the ones for long travel
