By the 1640s, only three warlords from the Siege of Osaka were alive: Ukita Hideie, Sanada Nobuyuki, and Hosokawa Tadaoki. Not even Ieyasu’s son, the second shogun, Hidetada, lived that long.
Is it safe to say that this game is the equivalent of Dynasty Warriors 4 in their respective series? I mean, listen to the music from both of them, for God's sake! They both revolutionized the OST standard for both series now.
Yup and even both of them ditched the "individual stories" and their campaigns were more focused on joint battles with huges armies. But Samurai Warriors 4 did it better to let us control a second character and balancing the game so we aren't in such a big struggle when wanting to change character in a late-scenario. Dynasty Warriors 4 had a hellish difficulty even in normal.
Although this isn't originally as iconic as the previous 'Osaka' theme, it's much more empowering for the finale of the tale especially from the Tokugawa perspective.
In history the winners will always be right and the losers are not just wrong but are branded villains. Japan has ignored this to show every side of history.

I like the Sanada version better. The heroism shines through when all hope is lost and even with this version I feel like it's saying goodbye to the last sengoku hero when the flute cuts in. Yukimura Sanada !!

You forgot to mention Katsunari Mizuno,Muneshige Tachibana and Mushashi Miyamoto, they fought for Shogunate army during Shimabara Rebellion

Ryu The Keeper Actually Tadakatsu was dead before The Osaka Campaign
Ina died 5 years later, Nobuyuki lived until 1658 and died at age 91. Tadakatsu was already dead.

What do you mean exactly? IIRC Yukimura died at Osaka castle in SW 4, but i dunno if he did died in the same place in the previous games.
