If you think Luna is overkill, you should see BK's special in Radiant Dawn. Eclipse straight up ignores ALL Def and QUINTUPLES BK's nearly capped STR. Guaranteed 120 DMG that ignores DEF in a game with max 80 HP on a unit that one rounds everything already. Its hilarious
@@danielchen1047 And then he twerks on your unit's corpse! Seriously, RD went nuts with mastery skills. The only one that's fair is Ike's Aether and Astra (mainly because it can still miss and doesn't crit), all the other ones are basically a OHKO (Triple Strength and ignore defense, Ignore Resistance and reduce Luck to 0, etc.). Astra sucks in PoR because it cuts your strength and magic by half when it procs, and it loves to proc when one or two hits would have killed the unit anyway, it's just a handicap that eats away all your weapon durability.
I had Astrid die on turn 1 on that one ship chapter.. some BS. Apparently have to push+smite Ike to reach her before she literally dies.. on first enemy phase
Once you learn what you have to do, it isn't hard, and it has the benefit of being a turn 1 shenanigan so you're not going to lose 15 turns if you fail to recruit her. But first time players are going to learn that the hard way.
It happened to me with Boyd. BK came, usual jumpscare, and moved to 2-range my Fighter. Second jumpscare. Then he dealt 39 damage; 3rd jumpscare. Boyd had HP capped, so I said "Phew!" Then BK did a followup. oof RIP Boyd, so I replayed the level.
i accidentally made a save state after moving zihark into range of bk.... I THOUGHT I WAS SAFE.... accidentally lost like two hours of progress because i saved over my most recent save before that....................................... SHIT
The trick is to send your cat up the side on the first turn. Saving the vigilantes isn't worth it. Just nab Zihark and go... that's how I always played it, at least. XD
You can divide the army in three, the Laguz go up to recruit Zihark and Visit the top house rather quickly, the other two split into the top and bottom paths to the left. With Marcia around, you can visit the houses before the thieves reach them, and you get to use a lot of units in this map specifically (and I tend to leave some slots open because only a certain number of units to get all the EXP).
how did you play on hard difficulty in a first playthrough? black knight only moves on hard difficulty and i thought hard hard to be unlocked by clearing normal first
@@twitchthepocket I didn't! Apparently, Black Knight does move in Normal, but ONLY if you're in his range. I was unlucky enough to have poor Zihark recruit himself into range, and so this happened
Hes one of my favorite units. You must have taken forever to reach him if Black Knight was already on the field lol
Took me a while because I was playing blind, but yeah, adept on a myrm seems crazy good
The game tells you to try to avoid killing the vigilantes so maybe he was taking care to do that.

Ive heard somewhere that Ike is hardcoded to dodge the Black Knight's first attack on this map.
No way, since my first time playing, BK one shot Ike.

I like to give Volug Beastfoe and make him support Zihark for the Part 3 maps they're in.

What difficulty was this? I thought on Hard he only ever moved 3 spaces to give the player time to not be ripped in half!
Weirdly enough, this is Normal
He'll walk 3 tiles if nobody is in range. If someone is range he'll use his full movement to reach
