Hey Scott thanks for helping bring such an amazing experience into the world! It’s one of my favorite games of all time and I’ve replayed it more times than I can count. What was your role in the production?
@@celestialserpent6078 I coded the map editor and the logistics phase in between missions. I also worked on the networking code. They set up the situation and tone for the game, the world and campaign, they introduce several characters and have them run through their own plausible character arcs, they show you what its about and how high the stakes are, that the enemies are truly dangerous, and thus must be overcome with daring, cleverness and speed of action, they make you run through a rollercoaster of emotions worth of a whole movie, and showcase perfectly what the game is about and why its going to be badass and they do all that and more in just over 4 minutes. This trailer is a fucking masterpiece and it still makes me want to jump up and yell "fuck yeah" at the end even now, 25 years later because its so damn satisfying.
