What a superb final this was. I tried to buy tickets for it but finished up, like thousands of others, having to watch it on the TV. The five or six-man Leicester move when they tore the Manchester City defence apart and culminated with Andy Lochhead blazing wide was brilliant to watch.
This is the only FA Cup Final I attended. Although it was 40 years ago, I still don't understand how Peter Rodriguiz missed an open goal from 6 yards ( 2 minutes into video).
Wow - that's when football was football! sad to hear about Neil Young... I was a little surprised to see a young Peter Shilton in the game.He sort of links the players of the late 1960s to the 1980s for me, which is when I was old enough to watch football!
If Summerbee had taken the foul - most today would be expected to do so - he would never have made the pass that led to the goal. Old-fashioned class from him and Young (and I'm not a City fan). RIP Neil.
Sadly Neil Young is not long for this world. He was always a little bit in the shadow of Bell, Summerbee and Lee, which is not really fair as he was a great player in his own right. Here's hoping we can get to the final and win it again before he passes.
Was it true that the City goalie preferred to be plumbing than playing football?......I heard Mike Summerbee saying this on the City history video, but was not sure if he was joking or not!!
Cripes, Peter Shilton playing in this game was still the England keeper in the 1990 World Cup!
Respect to Neil Young from Leicester city fan, this was a great final, two great clubs.
First cup final I ever remember. Saw in colour round at a friends house. City fan ever since.

good game
I was born on this day - my dad was less than happy at the timing :oD
crackin finish...too young to see it....
It would have been easier for Peter Rodrigues to have scored rather than mess up that opportunity.
Glad to see no-one on the city camp messed with Andy Lochead!!!--Nice guy though Andy is ........HARD as fuckin' nails...Ask Tommy Docherty!!!!
