Nice one Dan👍👍 You and Rob did a bang up job on this one. Can't use a bivi myself, just too small, feel too cramped in one. For stealth I can see the pros though, I just use a tarp but some folks won't go there. Good fire, good food and drink, good time it seems. Thanks for the trip and work, see ya soon.
To be fair, I prefer just a tarp. But it was a good experience and it's nice to use some old gear now and then. Great to see Rob. It had been too long.
Rest video and pleased to see the bromance is going strong😂 Looked like you found some mates, I think they were worried in case they ended up on the menu😏
Lovely little camp there, Dan! Dinner looked scrumptious! Not sure if I could sleep in that enclosed bivvy though, too much like a bodybag! 🤣 Cheers, James 🙏 💚
Those Vietnamese coffee makers work a treat and make good coffee. Good spot for a camp quite scenic area and wild life company .. no not Rob .. lol. Meal was impressive Dan. Bushyboy Oz.
It was a good night, great to catch up with Rob again. I'm enjoying the process of making coffee this way. It's quite relaxing 😁👌 Hope you're well mate. Dan
Well done with getting the Bivi out MrCLB. And a clever idea about flattening the ground off too, neat. And you even had your own hanging light as well, clever! Cheers, Warren :)
Dam, my man! Another cracking video mate, really enjoyed it. Dutch army hooped bivi has a partner you need to take mate, the British army Basha. The two together for me are the best of bed fellows when it come to stealth camping and not having to worry about breaking the seal on your sanctum in the morning to face the dawn ! Great vid mate, keep up the good work. Regards Moose
I could.. but if I'm under a tarp I don't see the point in a bivi. I likes the challenge of using it as intended.. just for fun. I wouldn't want to do it often though 😂
Good stuff chaps. Nice to see you in the wooded areas again, Dan. Nice grub too. Maybe next time, instead of kangaroo jerky there, perhaps try some of that local meat - alpaca 😙🎶
@@CampLifeBushcraft Haha, let me know if it’s a tough meat. There’s a wood with an alpaca place near me too 🍽️🤣 The job is actually great. I’m enjoying going to work again. Missing having early days and sloping off when I want to though. Thanks for them kisses 😁 💋💋💋
🏕️🔥🥳and a visit from the Dalai Lama…. Good to see Rob again. It always sucks getting up ‘the morning after’ when it’s cold & damp😬, good job you got the embers going again🤗
Interesting coffee maker. After I saw the video I looked it up on Amazon. The directions in some pictures seems to indicate you add the coffee to the cup, then insert the under bit so the coffee is trapped is a layer and you then add the hot water, rather than assembling the cup and inner and then adding coffee and hot water ? May make a difference to the taste or strength you get out. I will be getting one anyway to try out but interested to hear your views of its use both ways. Keep up the great videos
Hi mate, kinda met you last night on Karen’s livestream. Sure I’ve seen some of your vids before. Anyway, looking forward to watching loads more. Hope to see you at Karen’s camp in September 😊😊.
G'day Dan, always good to see Rob along, shame no Jon, ..... but two outta three aint bad ; ) Bit of a multicultural vid with the Dutch bivy, Japanese saw and the kanga jerky. I have tried roo ONCE and only ONCE....... like venison, emu, snake, croc, buff, goat ..... perhaps llama or alpaca, etc ......survival meat ONLY !!!!!!!! IMO ; ) Good work getting a flatter bed lay fellas .... Its worth the extra effort up front to get a better sleep I reckon. Certainly worth giving a hammock job a crack on the ground Rob, might not be perfect but you aint always gonna have a coupla well placed trees. The Flextail blowers are certainly proving to be a fantastic multiuse item. Anyway, all good in the wood. Cheers Duke.
Hey bud, yeah Jon was supposed to come, but has done himself a mischief and may be out of action for a while. pretty sure I had a too burger when I was over your neck of the woods.. and a few other special treats, some better than others. Just back from a trip with just myself and Lolly.. that has gone pretty well. I'm looking forward to getting the video done. hope you are well mate. Dan

@eyeofthetiger4184 Thanks, mate, we're all doing good. Jon spent a lot of years playing rugby. It's caught up with his body. He's got a tough road ahead. Hopefully I can get him out sometime in the summer.
Great video. In terms of the condensation in the bivi, do you think it would have helped if you left the head end open but with the bug net zipped in ?
Hello Dan, hope you are well? I'm a big fan of your channel, I was wondering if I could get your advice? I've seen your video on going for a first wildcamp but I wanted to know what might be the worst possible outcome of camping on a privately owned woodland? It's just for one night and the wood lands has public paths through it. I just could really do with your expert input! Many thanks, Christopher
Hi Chris. To me private land is my last option, unless you ask for and get permission. I guess the worse case is you are woken up by an irate land owner with all the associated drama that comes with it. from a legal stand point, until they ask you to leave you're not trespassing (unless there are signs) but once asked to leave if you fail to they can then call the law. like I've said before, I would steer clear and find some forestry or national trust land. hope that helps. BTW this is just my personal opinion, others would feel different and suggest if you're not caught you're fine.. I'm just not sure I would relax.
Good light art mucker. Got to have a proper coffee in the morning. Bivvy camping is an acquired taste
Thanks mate, yeah it's a bit of a squeeze to be fair. OK now and then for something different 👍👍

They're weird looking things!
I’m not convinced on Bivi bags but I am convinced they are more suited to warmer conditions! Fair play to you Dan 🍄
Yeah, I wouldn't want to be in one during heavy rain. But it's fun every now and then.
That bivi looks comfy never had one cheers Dan for Awesome video with amazing scenery
Thanks mate 👍

Nice camp guys 😊 Cooking looks spot on and tasty 😋
Thank you 😋👍
Another good video. I haven't seen Rob for a while, thought he might have hung his tent up. Good to see you both in the woods again.
Yeah it's been too long. He's a busy boy so doesn't get out as much as he used to.
Cheers Dan Great that 👍👍

Thanks Moose, really appreciate the comment and you taking the time to watch.

Thanks for the adventure.
My pleasure 👍
Great video, you could put the air mattress under the bivi and stick a trap over the top to keep the rain off...

Looked like a good night fellas. I would hate to sleep in a bivvy bag. Too enclosed for me
Yeah, they're probably not for everyone. Once in a while, it's fun. But not my first choice of shelter! 🙂👍
Good to see Rob out on another camp; enjoyable watch. Bivy definitely not for me
Yeah it's been a while.
Great catching up with him.
Enjoyed the video, not sure about the trench might be a water trap if the rain was heavy enough?

Too bad you didn't leave a link for the Dutch Bivi?😢
Think I got mine on ebay.
Your not using the Vietnamese coffee maker correctly…. Sorry for being a Richard 😂
Appreciate the heads up. I did some homework since. 👍👍
Who's the 3rd camera person then? 😆
A flying camera 😁👍😋
What size Zebra Billy was that? #AskingForAFriend 😉
