He's much more gentle than I would have been
Looks like a D6 .....D9 is a diffrent story....Dozer can only push so many cars at once
If you hit a Tesla too hard, it’ll make the fire WAY worse
get after it son!
No one knows if your automotive insurance will pay or city. Best to play it safe and not cost more money on the city.
Right? This is a life safety issue. The idiots should not have just left their cars in the middle of the road. At least pull over to one side but thats LA people for you
He’s being suuuuper gentle trust me. From an equipment operator
You are correct minimal damage
A camera is operating, when it’s off he goes hard out 😂
He's wasting time if the fire department was serious about getting through.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He isn't being very gentle to the poor road surface, though!!! 😱
Cant be picking up and tossing around a car full of fuel and other fluids
Now i know how people will react in a zombie apocalypse
Yea I feel ya on this, But this is a real Apocalypse 😱😱
Everyone will die in their vehicles.
Righttttt
I saw this in real life. Everyone get in their car and drive on to the main road, which is completely stand still.
Maybe they shouldn't have been TOLD to leave their vehicles.
Insurance: It’s illegal to just leave your car in the middle of the road. Claim denied.
👏
Right
They were ordered to evacuate their cars by authorities
You must do everything law enforcement tells you to do.. so given they were told to abandon their vehicles..... id say they still have a case.
O operador ainda me parece ter sido cuidadoso para não danificar os carros de forma grave, se fosse em um bairro pobre todos teriam sido empilhados ou simplesmente varridos para fora.
Will still fall under a act of god Insurance denied
Most gentle movement of vehicles I’ve ever seen.
Lives are more important than a Mercedes
It depends....are we talking about an AMG
The lives are more important. So don't leave it in the middle of the road.
@@michaeltabanao8092hehe 😅
@@michaeltabanao8092I knew someone was going to say this lol 😂.
@@michaeltabanao8092does it matter on the electric ones? 😅
The Bulldozer operator is awesome! The man has skills! Peace from Detroit MI.
Now watch those owners try to sue the city for damaging their cars
Trust me they will!! I work in Santa Monica and have to deal with them!! Very entitled people, and well not that smart either 😂
Filling a claim as we speak.. ..
They can try and sell, but they’re not collecting.
If I was a homeowner and my house burned to the ground because the emergency vehicles were not able to reach my house because of these twerps, I'll sue them too.
@
And what if your car was stuck in that mess? Would you still sue?
I've never seen this before. I heard the Emergency Personnel, told them to abandon their vehicles and walk towards PCH
The personal should have addressed the situation better . They caused that pileup
@PediatricDoernbecher You just answered your own question. Because it's California. 😂😂😂 All that taxation never goes towards preparation.
Why couldn’t they just drive down instead of ditching their cars? I’m so confused
@@tgtgtgtgtgtgtgApparently they were instructed to leave them in the road. More to follow on this one I am sure. As a fellow Californian we are stupid, but we are not THAT stupid to just block a road like that.
They told them to park their vehicles in the middle of the road and take their keys with them?
If that Mercedes had keys in it, it wouldn’t be crunched in about five minutes
Never abandon your car IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROADWAY! You are risking everyones lives behind you. Go bulldozer, GO!
You weren't there! You have no idea what you're talking about!
They were told to abandon their cars by police..........
Most people don't just chuck their rides. They left for a good reason.
@@Loki-rascal😂😂😂let’s all be collectively stupid and take our keys but leave the cars blocking the road way. 😂😂😂
@@Loki-rascalexactly
Well that's a new one. Been here since the 80s and thought I'd seen it all. I remember the Topanga fire on that bright windy day, where it just went from the valley all the way to the water.
LEAVE YOUR 🚗 LEAVE YOUR 🔑
Nah.
Yep homless ain't afraid of fire....and a free car for a few days
You crazy as hell! I’m taking my keys, house key on there plus other stuff
Teslas don’t have keys like that
Leaving keys = opportunity for anyone to steal your vehicle.
Hes hitting the cheaper cars lol
yeah that was my toyota 😢
Lol 😂 left the Benz alone and moved the prius
Mercedes owner could afford a new car. Not the ppl of cheaper ones
@@luisramrod9121😂😂
The Mercedes is also an EV. Damage that battery back and let it go into thermo run away and you have a whole new problem.
You’ve got to understand if those folks were held up by cars in front, after seeing what happened on Maui, they feared burning to death in their cars.
it's definitely not just from Maui. People get burnt to a crisp in their cars in California wildfires EVERY year. These people live in a fire zone. They knew exactly what they were doing with or without the Maui catastrophe.
When you see flames in your rear view mirror and no place to go because of the log jam of cars in front of you, you RUN!! It's scary as HELL.
Cops shot people in Maui. Look into John Pelletier. Not his first massacre
@@robedmund9948 Sounds about right... Also take the keys to block the road for support vehicles..
@@ringberar I think they meant worry from these freak events, and considering this is occurring outside of California's fire season that's especially poignant
I had to leave Ol' Betsy there. Mint condition 2001 Pontiac Aztek with only 287,870 miles on it. Hope the tractor operator appreciates a gem when he sees it.
Lowest mile Pontiac Aztek in the country very likely :( sorry for your loss man
Herbie? Are you sure it's not a Volkswagen?😅
Didn't Walter White drive an Aztek in the last season?
The person at the front that stopped to scream at a poor cop is responsible for all this. They caused a gridlock.
That's why you need Car Shield, Bulldozer scrape no problem, your covered. Car Shield is a subsidiary of UHC
To be fair, officials were telling people with bullhorns to get out of their cars and walk to the ocean. At least they complied.
He’s being very gentle.
These people were ordered by the police to get out of their cars.
Insurance purposes I bet
The police wouldn't even be able to get there, why lie?
@zdf46 there are these things called cell phones. These cellphones can receive messages from emergency authorities.
@@iStayModern Wut?
@@zdf46 No, I heard the same on the news.
Except, not by police, but by the firecrew.
I just flew from San Diego to San Jose today. This is the fire I saw from up above. A few people on the plane, including myself, felt bad for people living in the area. I had no idea about all these vehicles being in the way, though!
Well, there are all rich people, don't feel that bad.
Born and raised in LA 66-years ago. I've experienced many earthquakes, mudslides and fires. This video here looking at a bulldozer clearing a road I have never seen but maybe only in sci-fi movies.
the operator be like. I've never thought I'd be doing this legally. Ever. this is fun. come 'ere you tesla. you're next benz.
State Farm, how may I help you? Uh, oh, sorry, you're not covered for bulldozing.
They need to call up the Grave Digger and Bigfoot, They have crushed more cars than my freezer crushes ice.
Firefighters are amazing people. Even here they are trying to limit the damage to peoples property by not just totaling the vehicles. I had an apartment where the unit above me was on fire and they came in and draped plastic drop clothes over all the furniture in my unit before fighting the fire upstairs to limit the water damage to my furniture. Incredible group of people they are.
That's just their work. Sad to never see the same appreciation for police officers as they have to deal with the real dirty jobs.
my real question not stated here, why or what blocked the cars from moving out... when evacuation is ordered, police is supposed to keep road clear getting people-vehicles out out out... meaning directing car through red-lights with police directing cars out out out... not let them stay.
WHAT happened? why are we seeing this pileup of abandoned vehicles, and cars using on wrong side of road.
Dude it’s freaking California! You ever seen anything normal in California!
First time I have ever seen anything like this. Again more respect goes to our fire fighters and first responders for having to put up with people's bad choices in an already bad situation. The fact that many of those cars, white Mercedes included are EVs presents even more problems. Damage that battery back and let it go into thermo run away and you have a whole new set of problems which is probably why the bulldozer operator chose to go around the white Mercedes rather than move it. My thoughts and prayers go out to all affect by this tragedy.
DID YOU NOTICE ???
They avoided the expensive ones, because they probably have better attorneys 😂
Yup😂
Yeah that was surgical.
@@dchawk81
Well to be fair.
If you're in a Fire. Best not mess with the Tesla and make it Worse 😂
.... allegedly 😏
Just common sense: don't damage expensive stuff if you can do the job by damaging cheap stuff.
Oh this is so frightening, dangerous and sad. Praying for winds to stop and all to be safe. Bless our firefighters.
I read elsewhere that they were TOLD to avandon their cars.
Traffic for 30k people fleeing at once... this is how it goes down. Can't drive out. Electric bikes with a trailer on them are gold. What about the handicapped people, or even elderly and others who might be without a car? Is this is a mass casualty event?
😢😢😢
I hope not!!!!!
What do you mean by mass casualty event?
@@Plove93 Do you not know the words "casualty" and "mass"? Seems he wrote a clear sentence.
Bicycles: More than a temporary solution to life's little problems.
Let’s not let the perception of the wealth of this area take from the fact many normal people are suffering
He's being gentle and the people panicked because likely fire was coming up on them and they ran. They probably have push button ignitions and maybe other keys on the rings, so the keys are probably in their pocket. It's easy to criticize when we're sitting here on our couches. Nice and comfy
They said thousands of people trying to leave, there was no way out with high flames and high winds Anyone would save themselves and run for their lives. 😢
For real. Imagine being stuck in your vehicle with your kids/loved ones/pets with fire visible at your back. Terrifying.
Just to be the Devils advocate, bet 80% of those cars have negative equity and this was a great reason to dissolve themselves from it specially that Tesla. Everyone's insurance is going to the moon next 2 years.
Don't forget food prices will also skyrocket because the farms will be out of water due to the fires. Always an excuse.
At least we are alive! I feel so bad for so many of my neighbors that lost homes, especially the elderly. It happened so fast we were all sleeping at 3am!
NYFD busts window out of car parked in fire lane, runs hose across front seats to get to hydrant.
LAFD pushes dozens of cars blocking the road to a wildfire out of the way with a bulldozer.
Your move NY...
We already been there and done that....back in 2001...
Some clown was saying "leave your keys in the car so the fire department can move it if you abandon it!" LOL, they're not looking for keys dude...
💯💯💯💯💯 Do people really think that the dozer operator checked each car for the key before he pushed them? And who was available to drive each car if the key was left inside the car?
That "clown" was Steve Gutenburg. He's a good guy and was trying desperately to help evacuate people.
🙄🙄🙄 I stand by what I said. 🤦♂️ @@corey6393
It is standard protocol to leave the keys on the front seat or under the driver's side windshield wiper with the doors unlocked after pulling as close to the shoulder as possible.
In other places drivers are taught to move to the left or right to create a lane on the lane markers for emergency vehicles, especially if there's no shoulder for emergency vehicles to use. The same sort of things should be taught for emergency situations like this as well. Always leave a lane or make a lane.
God bless our firefighters ♥
God bless? Didn't your God create the winds that caused fire?
I will tell you something, it's hard to get fire fighters job, this guys are making hundreds thousands of dollars a year. If they give me their jobs I am very happy. So in my conclusion they doing their jobs, nothing appreciated.

There's fires in California every year. Been that way for decades. Nothing new.
😭😭😭
I always liked the idea of living in Palisades.. glad that didn't end up happening. This fire is insane.
Those EVs are more dangerous than brush.
Good point.
Ya I’m surprised no one else has mentioned this. Evs in a firestorm are the worst possible combination as you cannot extinguish them easily. The irony that people buy these cars for environmental reasons but in a disaster these are like small munitions dumps.
Least with a diesel the chances are it’ll burn out in a while.
@@eoghanfla6343 Exactly right! As a firefighter it troubles me seeing so many EVs in such close quarters during these times you guys face over there. The whole "Environmentalist" thing is just posturing. I mean, LA literally burns because of a fish.
While the power outages rose from 180k to 1.5M I commented 100x that each burning EV is a unneccessary complication.
Artificial Idiot deleted them.
Appreciate him not bulldozing the work truck.
We really needed the commentary- so insightful 🤣

Pure genius to block both lanes of traffic.

they were telling people from the police helicopter- “abandon your vehicles and walk toward the ocean if you want to live”
I'm glad you brought up this point, besides PCH and Sunset, there really are no ways out of the city making it very dangerous in a situation like this.
Hey bulldozer before you move my car let me reactivate my insurance policy so I can get paid 😂😂😂😂
Just people leaving their leased vehicles 😂😮😊
Because that makes a difference?
Do you think you can just return a lease vehicle destroyed and they’ll say OK?
@@neilkurzman4907 Leased or making payments we do live in a payment society and they live in debt.I own Tesla stock and just purchased 2001 Honda Civic with only 96,000 miles for 3,500.00 cash and bought 600.00 in parts will be my last gas car.I work at a car shop and payed no labor now I have another Honda to take me to 2030/31 then unloading majority of my stock and my girlfriend and I are purchasing 2 Tesla's and a shore house.

That has got to be the best day ever for that dozer crew. We lost a squad truck because a news crew got their car stuck trying to make a u-turn on a single track dirt road it had no business being on. I mean, they bought us a new truck that was bigger and better but still a pretty stupid move. All it takes is one idiot to block everyone else behind them. This is exactly why my vehicles have push bumpers, winches, and Dremel tools with cutting wheels.
Whatever we are seeing.. honestly, how dare we judge.
People have been burnt alive in their cars any times. How are they supposed to move their cars with stopped bumper to bumper traffic. Grow up.
Wtf? The could at least leave keys in the car. What kind of fool you need to be to leave the car on the road without any chance to move safely and fast?

They didn't panic, news reader, they were directed by law enforcement to abandoned their cars. But "panic" sells better on TV. Welcome to our post-journalism world.
During the 2016 Wildfire in Fort McMurray Alberta they bulldozed a whole neighbourhood of houses to create a firebreak, a few cars are nothing.
Insurance companies having a panic attack
Has the fire reached the Victorville Film Archive?
Well people claim that they were told to abandon their cars and flee by the firefighters so ..
If anything this shows the innate selfishness and arrogance of the multi millionaires who purchase homes in places where they will almost certainly lose their home to a natural disaster.
that’s why I don’t feel bad for the fires
Your acting like only evil rich people live in California. You know it’s the most populated state right? So many innocent people are having their homes destroyed.
They were told to abandon their cars and walk from there. They didn't just decide to ditch their cars to walk away from a wildfire.
@JackHoff_69 dude your talking about the Palisades. Not a single home under 3 million$ there.
@cvn6555 must of been a bad order, none of those cars were burnt, another 2- 3 minutes they could been ordered to pull over first and leave there cars, possibly leave the keys with them too. Whoever gave that order is a Genius. 😂
I like he goes for the cheaper cars instead of trying move the Mercedes
Notice the majority are electrical vehicles.
EVs are junk. They'll start even more Fires. Be very careful
Your car being bulldozed isn’t cover by insurance. Owner neglect.
Why did the front cars abandon their cars???
Because the police told them to get out of there cars and walk moui, !!!
There's a huge, fast-moving wildfire, and the local terrain and roads are poorly suited for a massive evacuation therefore, there was a standstill traffic jam.
The Sheep followed orders instead of thinking and acting on their own.
No work tomorrow that sucks! I pray for everyone 🙏🙏🙏
