- This is the culture of Iwate prefecture "WANKO SOBA". Basically you have to keep eating while a lady is serving you a small amount of soba until you say "No More!" with a lid! Even a soba lover like me! feel too much and had enough of it on the half way through. But cheering by the lady and a little gift to e waited for you, it will make you get to the goal. Finally you somehow feel you have done such a big job!
It was a great fun! I liked this experience!

What a crazy meal! I knew Satoshi would kill it.
I laughed so hard at the end when she threw the 102nd soba into Shinichi’s bowl, his face was priceless. 😂
Overall this seems like a fun thing to do with close friends or family members who you would like to have a small competition with.

That was hilarious. It looked as if the lady was about to toss noodles down Satoshi's mouth. Ai couldn't stop giggling, so cute. Shinichi got punked by the lady into eat more. LOL!!!
I would honestly be laughing the entire time. There would be noodles everywhere, probably coming out of my nose and ears. I’d be wearing the noodles, they’d be all over the table, all over the server. And I’d probably end up with terrible indigestion! But gosh it was fun to watch the three of you eat those noodles like champs!!! 😊😊😊

That is the strangest restaurant I've ever seen! The lady was really quick! What was she saying when she poured the soba? It sounded like she was saying a few different things, but what?
She was saying “one more!”, “more and more!” That kind of things. It’s like a cheering up words we have in Japan.

We have something faintly similar in India where a street food called Paani Poori is served one after the other in quick succession and you are forced to hurry through eating each serving.
