Definitely number 2 hack impresses me as worth trying. I don’t give much credence to concealer techniques used by people with minimal darkness under the eyes. They often just aren’t relevant.
Wow 🤩 I’m doing my concealer tomorrow like hack #2! It looks amazing!!! I’m really blown away because no matter how little I apply one side creases. Excellent video
I switch to a blender brush for my concealer a while back and love it. I have dark under eyes in same area as you and it has helped me use less products and blends out so easy. It was you that made me switch correctors I now use Becca. I use to use the Armani. Thanks for all these videos so helpful.
I do a combo of 1 and 2 and it works great for me. I use tarte shape tape and place a small dot where you did in 1, then blend w/ shader brush. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for sharing the hacks! I’m definitely doing #2! I gave the same dark circles and skin tone you have, so guess we gonna be twining on this hack! It’s a steal tho, less work yet less is more 🥰😁😍
Hey sarah!! Your videos have helped me so much with your techniques. Because even i suffer from dark circles but never find good videos on youtube. Just wanted to know what’s your shade in mac? I am nc20. Will the smashbox x becca medium work for me??
Hi Sara, I was wondering what shade of Mac Studio fix foundation which you have been tried on your complexion? I searched most of your old videos, unfortunately I am not able find one 😂. I’m curious to know ❤.
Sarah, great tips and advice. Re the 2nd tip, years ago I went to MAC for a concealer match and lady advised using a blending brush 224 (short handle version also available). Then bought he RT and forgot about the former. However, as of today going back to my MAC. 👍🏼
I have the original becca color corrector and I really want it to work but idk I feel like its too tacky? Even when I let it dry when I go over with a concealer it just gets messy.. 😢
I ended up know about the blender brush by accident in 2013. I forgot my concealer brush by accident and my friend only had that new brush. & never gone back since than.
Love this! Can you review the hot and flashy brushes by BK Beauty? Especially the concealer brush. I’ve never seen anything like it, and your opinion means the world to us! Cheers!
Tried #2, blending brush looked great at first. But it didn't last. I a short time my dark eye area begins to show. My cosmetic drawer is full- Becca, IT Bye Bye, Shape Tape, Lancome Ultra Wear. AND Elf hydrating cameo concealer does almost nothing. Giving up, but thank you for your trials and advice
Have you tried liquid orange correctors? Maybelline makes a fabulous one (New York Master Camo Color Corrector), and so does LA Girl- orange Pro corrector. Both of these are liquid and will dry down- not sticky at all like so many (Becca & Pixi). Put a tiny amount of product, less than a pea-sized amount, on the back of your hand, and start out with the smallest amount, applying it with an eyeshadow brush, only on your dark parts. Let it dry down for a few minutes as it will completely dry! I'm assuming you're having a color correcting issue. Next, look up Wayne Goss' concealer trick. you will want to only use the additional moisturizer under the eyelash line, not all the way down because it will make it hard for your corrector to dry. Taking your time to apply things to dry is key, so is using a Kleenex to absorb extra moisture and oil. Use as little concealer as possible, going thicker where you don't have deep lines. Lines will always crease. Always. Your face moves, and it moves them with it. Nothing is ever going to be perfect once you get lines. You *CAN* minimize their appearance greatly though. I can hear your frustration, and I wish I could see you to help and show you. Where your lines and darkness is matters. It took me a long time to figure out what works best for me; it might take more practice and patience. Make sure you're only putting the concealer in the corner and brushing it down and across. I go back from the end and blend inwards after. I do apply a tiny amount of powder over my dark areas, but not directly under my eyelash line because I have small lines there, and powder will always make it a hot mess. Setting spray helps. They are not all created equal. Also try to remember that most of what we see on the internet is not real! Most everything is filtered, even through really good cameras. People who have perfect under eyes are either super young, have amazing genetics, have filler, and/or they've had surgery. You can successfully conceal and make your under eyes look better, but lines only go away with surgical intervention. Moisturizing and techniques GREATLY help though.
Also, Shape Tape is very covering, so is Elf, having the correct (not too light) color makes a huge difference. Nars provides amazing coverage too. Opt for liquids.
@@EMILY4DAYS thanks for your thoughtful advice. I returned to shapetape in a warmer pink cast (not yellow cast) shade with becca underneath, and shape tape eye cream using your brush application tecnique. The brush is good. Your discovery, thanks. I threw out the Elf one, good only for gals without real dark under eyes.
Beauty Pie Corrector! It is so so similar and I'd say even better than the Becca, also the Collection Pot Concealers have peachy shades in a similar formula 🥰

I love how you put together this video! I think I will try all 3, but I will definitely be using 2 first.

Do you have any recommendations for colour correctors other then Becca, as that's not available in the UK where I live?
I use Charlotte Tilbury color corrector and it works great. Check out Sarah’s review on it
