I use also 3/8 stars for my Inserts. But i make only 14 pieces (2x7)
I thought about making the fuse sideways but i made it like you.
For delay i use 7x 2 seconds and 7x 4 seconds

@30:28 - If you have that much room between inserts, it's best to backspin another piece of tagboard or similar in the case to decrease its ID a bit.

Nice style! I see you don't use a support for the time fuse, Rolling in some paper Will make a tube where pur the Black match or add flash bag inside the insert...

wouldn't best prac be cut time fuse 2 times length u need spike 1 end then other, cut in half. then whole role wont ignite
