  • In this episode, the Caccia crew is in their home turf on hunting grounds they are familiar with. The season is August and its an archery deer hunt. The bears are thick in this area so hang in there and see what may happen.

    I hate hunting in this State, but nothing but mad respect for you guys. I appreciate the effort and difficulty of filming while archery hunting in that kind of terrain. You guys are studs

    Rough dealing with a petering blood trail, I know that sick feeling. Hard lessons, but they make you better if you take it in. Thanks for the vids, it's really nice to see Cali guys getting after it on the home turf.

      You’re right, it’s the worst feeling as a hunter… will definitely be better next time.

    Awesome video! Nothing worse than wounding an animal. I appreciate all the work that goes into filming while hunting. I’m a fan for sure.

    Sorry about the bear, not fun loosing an animal. Great county you were in, liked how you changed it up when things weren’t going the way you felt they should have. Looking forward to the next vid!!

    Great video guys, as always. It's always a disheartening feeling when you can't find a wounded animal, but if it did die at least a few fawns now have a chance... recently saw on the cdfw web site they "discovered" a grey wolf pack in tulare county..given tulare county's central location I highly doubt they migrated there naturally. I'm thinking they were planted. And I fear that they will further damage an already fragile deer population in ca. Mountain lions, bears, and now wolves. AND there's a push by the fruit and granola tribe to reintroduce grizzlies into ca. That'll be fun.

      Seriously?! Grizzlies?? Wow… that’s insanity

    I went hunting for my first time this year. I came up on a ledge that was kind of a bowl, I slipped on a rock and instead of waiting to look over I stuck my head out and seen a 2x2 buck and he took off running. Never seen him again for the next 4 days of my trip. 😢 I’m such a rookie lol but I learned from that

      @@CacciaOutdoorsand the area I was at my trail camera caught the back of a bear one night and a mountain lion another night which made me think there might be that many deer in that area because of the lion and bear. I could be wrong idk

      @@Terpedup925 Sometimes that’s true, but they live mostly in the same areas. The bear we called in was in the same basin with 3 does and a giant buck

    Love the content! I'm a new northern California hunter and I'm looking for boot recommendations; got lucky and drew X12 with some friends this year. What do you guys use for our hot weather seasons out here?

    • @CacciaOutdoors
      @CacciaOutdoors  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Congrats on the tag draw! Boots are one of those highly individual items, so what works for us may not work for you. Our boots of choice are Crispi’s and Hanwag, uninsulated. I just ordered a pair of White’s boots - I can let you know how those work out (this is Clayton by the way). Let us know how the hunt goes. Good luck!

      @Redgate_13 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CacciaOutdoors Thanks, Clayton and will do. I like the Crispi Nevadas, but worried they may be too hot for our A zone. Any experience there? Thanks for sharing all the wisdom on the channel. Made the "where to start" a whole lot easier. Keep up the great work! Subbed

    • @CacciaOutdoors
      @CacciaOutdoors  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Redgate_13 Appreciate it! The Nevadas are a great all around boot, just go with the non-insulated option if it's for warmer hunts. Obviously these are going to be heavier and hotter than a lightweight boot (like Altra), but you're getting a lot more support and durability with the Crispi boots. I would recommend investing in the Grakksaw boot dryers if your feet sweat. Nothing like pulling on wet, cold boots in the morning...

    Got a question for you guys you guys actually hike on designated trails or do you just busch whack you guys always find great-looking areas to cover and on a side note I can't hunt deer season due to work schedule but you ever seen a late-season bears and what's good area

    • @CacciaOutdoors
      @CacciaOutdoors  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Both actually. Trails get us into a region, bush whacking gets us into a spot. As for bears, it’s all about the food sources that are available that time of year
