    LOVE BEYOND BORDERS EP.25
    Love Beyond Borders series focuses on inter-African relationships or marriage. We will be sharing and educating on inter-African love, cultural differences, cultural shocks, the challenges and the beauty of it all.
    P.S: We are more alike than different as African people ❤
    On this episode I have Tiiselani, a Tsonga lady from Limpopo South Africa who is married to her Igbo Nigerian husband from Nigeria and they have been blessed with 4 children. They are based in South Africa however their kids reside in Nigeria and school there. In this episode we debunk how they are navigating distance parenting and why their kids are based in Nigeria. We also talk about their inter-African marriage, cultural differences and how they've been doing marriage for over 17yrs.
    Hope you enjoy this episode.

    Our dearest beautiful wife Serame. Her children are going through the Nigerian spirit of boldness, assertiveness and target achievement. You can see that her son who runs to hide when visitors come in to their house in South Africa is now out going boy because he is being taught to take his life in his hands from this early age. That's how he will lead himself claiming his rights. Nigerians train their children to love and help others and believe in themselves that they can or rather wi be better than every other person. Thank you Sereme for your wonderful channel. I must tell you, through this channel Nigerians and South Africans are ever closer. However, it is disheartening to hear over and over the Afro-phobia going on in SA. How can an African child in SA school be termed and treated like a stranger?
    In Nigeria, the child of your brother or sister is a full member of the family no matter who the other parent is. It's only politicians that divide us into tribes during elections just for votes.
    Socially and culturally in Nigeria, we don't see any black person as a stranger no matter where they come from, with or without Nigerian blood.

A lot of brotherly love there, I suppose. What is boko haram? Is it South Africans attacking foreigners? At least we discriminate against non-South Africans. You have nigerian on nigerian violence. Sort that out b4 calling us Afrophobic. Anyway, even if we are Afrophobic you are free to go to the other 50+ Afro loving countries. Who forced anyone to come to South Africa? • @blackoralArt
      @blackoralArt ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That's not true. What part of Nigeria are you from that you're talking with so much authority on this? There's no basic rule in naming a child from inter tribal marriages but from my observation and family members who are married from other tribes, the children often bear names from both tribes including English names.
      Often the name used is the one the father gives cos it's fatgers/grandfathers who name a child, so if the father is Igbo or Itsekiri for eg., it's a name from that tribe the child will bear as first name but he will have a second name from the mother.
      In some cases I've observed both names could be used simultaneously at home but the first name is dominant, it's the one used in school, by friends, neighbours etc

    I am very much impressed with this interview. I gathered from this interview that her husband is from Imo State. I am also happy for Tiiselani to realize that all Africans are one and should be indivisible. Professor P.L.O. Lumumba of Kenya has always emphasized on the unity of the people of the continent of our motherland, AFRICA. Very excellent job by Serame and very thoughtful answers from Tiiselani, based on her experience in Nigeria, and the kind of reception she received and receives from the home state of her husband. CHEERS.

    Another beautiful vlog ausi Serame and sesi T is so lovely. Enjoyed watching what a beautiful love story of someone's son buying tomatoes everyday to impress our sister and look at what the tomatoes have turned a beautiful love story of so many years together. I feel for our kids so much and it's just unfortunate that they have to experience such as Africans.

    Beautiful story of love. It's saddening, however, that school taunt of "Kwere Kwere" forced relocation of little children who may not even understand a thing about stereotyping people. I'm a Nigerian of Igbo extraction doing law enforcement work in New York City (and have lived here since 1987 as a teenager) and know a thing or two about profiling people who sound or look foreign to a particular space.
