I would add, go to Eucharistic adoration as often as possible. It is such a blessing to spend time with Jesus! Love your videos, Heather; keep them coming!
Oh yes. And most of the priest are so happy to see people confessing and returning to God you know? Many people feel stressed and ashamed before confessing but really most priests dont want to judge you. They want to provide Gods forgiveness and give you good advice to win eternal life
Please pray for me that I will find a Catholic Church. I was raised Protestant and have felt like something is missing and to easy just not right. I am doing your 54 day novena that if I am on the right path I will be shown the way and given a sign and a church for me. I am learning so much from you. I appreciate your videos so much. I long to go to confession and be part of the mass and holy communion. 💕
Trying to get to confession more often, I find it difficult/guilt but the more I go the easier it will become. I always think of Padre Pio when he was hearing confession, someone saw him leaving one day and his face was transformed into the divine face of Jesus. So now I try to imagine it’s Jesus sitting there with me, it helps a lot. I’ve just finished a novena to St Therese to help me find a friend, I don’t have anyone to share with. You look lovely Heather, such a beautiful glow 😊
Hugs I feel like nobody like to be my friend. I grew up knowing Jesus is my best friend when friends bully me. So I'm never alone. Lets work on making more friends. ❤
Through daily prayer( rosary & DIVINE MERCY & praying for others)I stopped drinking! I prefer prayer now to wine! ENCOURAGE others to do this please! It works!!!!!!
I’m publishing a weekly TH-cam video on episodes from the life of Don Bosco, entitled ST JOHN BOSCO by JOE ZAMMIT. In this series I’m narrating events and miracles from the splendid life of Don Bosco. St John Bosco used to perform a miracle almost every day, through the intercession of Mary Help of Christians. From the lives of saints we can learn how to love God more and draw closer to him. Thank you.
You make an excellent point at 5:54! Constantly asking God for things hinders spiritual growth, for it's the symptom of a lack of trust in divine providence (Luke 12: 29-32; Mat 6:8). God is not an ATM! The Our Father contains already all the legitimate requests we are to make. I used to think that prayer automatically means prayer of request, but request is just one form of prayer: praise, thanksgiving are more superior forms of prayer (of course that doesn't mean that we ought not to ask God for special favours, for instance, if we are facing grave illnesses or impending catastrophes, but we must always remember to finish with «Thy will, not mine, be done!»
I appreciate your approach in talking with us (not AT us) about living a Catholic life. I am at a different stage of life than you ( I will guess I am at least a decade older, no children of my own, though I am co-guardian of my niece with special needs and had a large hand in raising my nieces and nephews. Parenting comes in a variety of ways. I am a Gen X who is also overseeing my mom's appointments and navigating mine and my parent and spouses aging. I am in the process of outfitting myself and my niece so we can go to mass ( I found a couple of skirts on Ebay and got my niece a couple of skirts and new shoes) so we can "suit up" to go to mass.
This was a wonderful video. Thank you for your reminders and support for those of us who are looking to be more Holy and build the relationship we crave with Jesus. I love that there is never any judgment when you share your support, also. Your videos continue to be encouraging. 🙏🏽
Hi I'm John in Ireland and I came across your podcast. Excellent and you are on the road to Holyness. Another couple of things I would say go on Retreat to one of the Marian shrines. We spent 10 days in Medjugoria shrine (like it was our holiday) and it was fantastic. The one thing we found was the veil between Heaven and Earth is very thin there. Also being Holy now, comes across as being a hick and a "Holy Joe" so we need to talk about it and be easy and open with it so as not to be afraid of it.
Hi! I have two questions and I hope someone can answer them for me. 1) If you're living in sin, ie: legally married to a non-practicing catholic, can you get confessed and take communion knowing that you're going to go back home to your spouse? (2) Can you offer up suffering that is caused by sin? For example: severe cramps and bleeding due to birth control? Would love some clarity on these topics. Thank you.
I am very happy that youngsters like have raised your lives for God. You can lead more youngsters to holiness. Keep in prayers continually. So that God will do more with people like you. Praise the Lord. Ave Maria.
The one that I would add is a more specific one of your joy example. Do more spiritual and especially corporeal works of mercy especially those others do less of like visiting the elderly or people in prison etc. Good list btw.
My best friend shared this video with me, and I’m glad she did. A former student of mine kept inviting me to this community that promotes healthy living, I kept pulling it on because of the negative feedback from others, but after finally going I realized after 3 days what a great motivation I got from those in this particular community and being a social worker major, I’m into the wholeheartedliving of how what we eat affects our mind and spirit. I believe this is a definite sign for the greater glory of God as per St. Ignatius whose feast is today to join, thank you for sharing and God bless. 🙏♥️🥰
To be in the state of grace we must go to confession at least once a year however it should be once a month or use the example of Pope Francis and go every two weeks. I wouldn’t say you aren’t Catholic, if you were ever baptized or confirmed you will always be Catholic! However we should not partake of the Eucharist if we don’t go to Confession. That can be very dangerous to our souls.
Brant pitre great Catholic teacher.. Best to show where Catholic Church comes from.. Also you can tell yuur cousin to read the key of David.. It will show that God established a covenant with bezentine people.. EUROPE IS PART OF BEZENTINE PEOPLE.. EUROPE IS CATHOLIC..
Lovely video, thank you. I think a good holy habit that we can share as catholics is to try and always treat and show other people Jesus love. Many times people tend to hurt us, treat us unfairly. Instead of reacting to that behavior we should just think of Jesus how he loved and forgave and do the same. Reach out to those who don't like us and show Jesus love. It may change them or their lives. 🤗🌺🌹
