Some thing I forgot to add. The engine works weirdly, 100% is just 1 engine and when you go from 101 to 110% you manage the second one. on 110% it's about 150% fuel consumption so keep that in mind. It works like a bootleg afterburner in that sense. Luckily it doesn't really overheat so it's no big deal. Also want to add that this plane will likely go up in BR after a bit so be careful when buying it, which is also why I mainly used the footage of me fighting other 9.7 planes and up.
the big question is, do you thing it will get slapped with uptier/ridiculous repair cost or will it stay as it is ? im contemplating buying it but i suck at gunnery and it already seems to be high skill ceiling plane and i doubt i would be able to make use of it at 9.7 being stuck in 10.3 matches all day.

If you're not even over lvl 15 don't even consider buying a jet because I absolutely hate it when I see people who are lvl 7 with a fucking f-5c (they suck by the way). They always turn with props and their aim sucks. But if you're experienced with jets then go for it

This thing should be after the Sagittario in the tech tree damnit since it's a refinement of the Sagittario in the first place. Also suprised how potent it is given that even with the aux engine it doesn't have that much sheer engine power. With a Derwent 9 it basically has a single Gloster Meteor engine plus the booster engine. Easily sees things with over double the engine thrust. Must be very light and aerodynamic.

Also there is Australian Vampire variant called FB.31, plus Nene powered F.2 variant, both has at least 4,750lbf thrust as opposed to 3,150lbf and 3,350lbf for F.3/FB.5 and FB.6/FB.52A/J28B variants respectively. Keep in mind WT Vampires don't have equal thrust to historical ones. FB.5 has 2,880lbf, FB.52A/J28B have 3,100lbf-ish. Plus their FM data suggests slightly overweight airframe. Add everything together and you should see current FB.52A with 8 min fuel performance out of updated FB.5 with 11 min load. But hey, Gaijin it is.
I wish they could add the Ariete as a non-premium aswell. It looks like it's really fun to fly. Something that is fun yo fly is all I wish for at this point.
Thank You for your review! most of the other CCs that I watched only played a couple matchs in it and their slightly average skills made them think this thing sucks and it's at a balanced tier. It's not balanced at all, because if your uptiered you'll probably get 1 or 2 kills and die horribly, and if you get down tiered you make everyone else die horribly. it is a king at dog fighting aswell as 1v1ing and it DOMINATES inexperienced players, which there are A LOT of at rank 6 because of all the premiums. I've seen 3 of these destroy my entire team ( we were the uptier for them) and there was nothing I could do about it because I was in a F3H and these things do almost every single thing better than me, speed, maneuverability, guns, acceleration, energy retention and it's small. All I could do was keep my speed, make pass's and run away.

I think they should have to play atleast rank 5 premiums before touching top tier jets, because they need to learn situational awareness, knowing how to shoot and lead, knowing how to dodge and reversals and ect. Because most new players that buy top tier premiums, are really bad, they just go for headons and die or theyre afraid of players so they run way to the edge of the map and dont come back till everyone is dead.

I actually watched you fly this on seekers stream against him for a little bit yesterday, it’s one thing watching you play, but watching someone fight against you just shows how cracked your aim is!
Earlier IR missiles can be easily dodged with a pitch and roll. Later ir missiles like the G, J, and L sidewinders suffer the same flaw, pitch and turn into it, then roll over once you see the missile pulling lead. Alternatively, cut afterburner and flare. Radar missiles, excluding the early ones, are more difficult to dodge and moreso require situational awareness to avoid getting one launched at you. Look to see the radar, turn perpendicular and fly sideways from the radar lock (and dropped chaff if there is a missile after you). This is called notching and helps break pulse Doppler lock. This doesn't always work at altitude since smart players will use ACM which is less susceptible to notching, but chaff has a chance to still throw off the missile seeker if notched properly. It is near impossible to dodge any r60 or matra magic, need flares for those. Consider taking "mixed" countermeasures, they work fine. Just don't breadcrumb or spam them, pop in bursts.
Your ability to slow things down is crazy. I feel like I have good situational awareness as my KD is not horrendous but so many scenarios (not just this vid) where you enter a fight and I’m thinking “how tf are these 4 guys not gonna figure out how to take him down”🤣
I'm pretty sure it turns better than all of those as long as it isn't compressing, and it has more energy because the engine power. So you can rate fight or go into vertical
Ariete pilot with 2 KD/ 66% WR: Ive beaten 2 shenyangs simultaneously with one of my horizontal stabilizers cut off (F104 slashed the fight then ran away thinking I was done for), this thing is an absolute rat / monster and will eat them for breakfast with virtualy no counter. If you use the vertical you will prolong your death / make it more of a struggle, but that's it, you won't win. DO NOT 1 CIRCLE. Use 2v1 tactics, gang up on it, dive on it and kill it in 1 pass before it can regain energy, etc.
The Italian engineers, after recieving the task to build a new fighter jet, proceeded to design a freaking italian sportscar that flies. its fast looks cool and small, and not rreally good for what it was built but somehow it is.
@@jacobrieks9727 As long as you make a custom loadout for it, yes. You can equip either the gun or the flare dispenser on the centerline like before. Haven't played the SPS-K in a while but it also has R-13M1s now instead of R-13Ms. Not sure if it got them this patch or a while ago.
the Aim 9L actually needs a buff to be " historically accurate" . in real life it pulled closer to 40Gs and had an even longer all aspect range. don't know that works balance wise. a10s getting 3-4 Kills each... idk
If the Aim9L was only available to planes that were 11.0 and up I would full heartedly agree, but with the A10 early getting the 9L at 9.7 there’s no way it could get buffed without it sucking even more fun out of 9.7 and below.
Love spanking 10.3's in mine for RB but it's utterly insane in SB as it's 8.3BR (doesn't actually matter) but faces max 9.7BR. Even me the sim noob is out there spanking pro's left and right.
Just bought this plane yesterday and is crazyyyy beast! Some matches I got from 3 to 5 kills. The only problem is that I need more G Tolerance because oh boy I black out fast!

But with the a6 tram coming to 10.0 witg 4 9Ls thats gonna be another struggle for this tiny but amazing plane...sad moment
Why is it that the Italians get the most interesting vehicles, but only like, here and there within their tech tree. I have no desire to play 99% of the Italian tech tree, but holy shit that remaining 1% is fun as hell.

This plane isn't for everyone. Imo 9.3 is a bit low and it could be 9.7 but if your in a supersonics and smart you can easily keep it at a disadvantage. Keep in mind dyfen is incredibly good at air RB and most players at it's br are premium noobs

It's the same reason I don't mind the F-86F2 being at its current battle rating. No missiles? Subsonic? Doesn't matter. You can out-dogfight almost anyone, you have some of the best guns in the game, and by the time you've unlocked it you've been playing in Sabers long enough that it feels like you're wearing a second skin.
Guys, don't play or purchase this plane anymore, it was my favorite plane, i have over than 500 takedown on it, but even tho it was kinda difficult to flight due to the lack of rocket or countermeasures (even tho it didn't needed them), its ammo, the HEI-T got nerfed to the ground, resulting in making this plane literally useless, shells that bounce and explode on weak parts of the plane and all this kind of bullshit, honestly i don't understand why they did this kind of thing, it didn't deserve this treatment
and now hilariously this jet is borderline worthless with the current meta premiums that it will be forced to fight against. Enjoy trying to dodge 1980s missiles in your 1950s dogfight jet before the concept of counter measures existed.
This plane is amazing but unplayable at the current 9.3 to 10.3 br it's just too painful dying to a level 10 a10 because you didn't spot him before he launches an aim 9L its such a shame I played 20 matches yesterday and 2 of them were 9.7 and lower everyone one is an uptier to 10.3 because of the f5c and a10 and mig 21 and a5 premium spam

its not just about thrust, its also about drag and weight. This thing looks like if you took a Vampire and bolted 1.5 Meteor engines onto that .
If it were in TT there'd be no rank 6 premium for Italy though and they need one of those.

Yep it weighs about 4 tons, I think that's also with full fuel load. For reference the sabres weigh around 6 tons

Guys, don't play or purchase this plane anymore, it was my favorite plane, i have over than 500 takedown on it, but even tho it was kinda difficult to flight due to the lack of rocket or countermeasures (even tho it didn't needed them), its ammo, the HEI-T got nerfed to the ground, resulting in making this plane literally useless, shells that bounce and explode on weak parts of the plane and all this kind of bullshit, honestly i don't understand why they did this kind of thing, it didn't deserve this treatment

This plane is amazing but unplayable at the current 9.3 to 10.3 br it's just too painful dying to a level 10 a10 because you didn't spot him before he launches an aim 9L its such a shame I played 20 matches yesterday and 2 of them were 9.7 and lower everyone one is an uptier to 10.3 because of the f5c and a10 and mig 21 and a5 premium spam
