    I had bilateral pleomorphic breast cancer recently. Its a rare form of cancer - lots of clinicians haven't even heard of it. I had no risk factors, no risky genes (they tested me), no family history of breast cancer... my only risk factor was my very high dairy diet (as an ovo-lacto vegetarian). So I went vegan, with my doctor's blessing and I'm hoping this will reduce my risk of recurrence.

      How Not To Die has a chapter on blood cancers. There are also videos on fasting being beneficial and timing of chemo so it's more effective. Aside from that, a whole food plant based diet lowers inflammation and just makes one feel better. Go to his website and type in 'cancer' to get started. The book is on Amazon (hardcover, Kindle, audio) for less than $20.
      There's another doctor, Neal Barnard who may have some good info for you. www.youtube.com/@PhysiciansCommittee/search?query=cancer
      You are wise to look into dietary changes to help improve her health and yours. There are resources out there. Some more traditional doctors may not be particularly supportive. Do not let that stop you-you can absolutely at a minimum improve how she feels, or improve her prognosis. The changes may seem drastic if you currently eat animal products but it's worth it. Sometimes great results require great changes.

      @dianeladico1769 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      No, it's not the same. Raw milk has more than processed. Note the inclusion of organic.
      Female hormones in milk are: alpha and beta estradiol, and estrone; male hormones are: alpha and beta testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone, and androstenedione (Courant et al. 2011).
      *Traces are present in similar concentrations in organic, raw, and pasteurized milk. Jouan et al. 2006.
      The effect of pasteurization on the hormones present in milk is variable. *Organic, raw and pasteurized milk have similar concentrations of gonadal hormones (androgens, estrogens, and progesterone). Pasteurized, organic, and raw milk have the same concentration of parathyroid hormone-related protein.* Pasteurization will not destroy insulin-like growth factor-I, a normal component of all types of milk. Pasteurization inactivates 90% of the growth hormone found in milk.
      A few studies have addressed the effects of heat treatment on the stability of milk hormones so far. In an early study, Wolford and Argoudlis (1979) showed that *the concentrations of steroid hormones of estrone (E1) and 17β-estradiol (E2) -major estrogens-were reduced in commercial whole milk* (55.8 pg E1 mL−1 in raw milk versus 33.7 pg E1 mL−1 in processed milk, and 10.3 pg E2 mL−1 in raw milk versus 6.4 pg E2 mL−1 in processed milk). Total E1 (free and conjugated) and E2 concentrations in 3.5% fat processed milk were reported as 0.13 μg kg−1 and less than 20 μg mL−1, respectively (Hartmann, Lacorn, & Steinhart, 1998).
