    I really appreciate the fact that you are so honest and realistic about this subject and not pretentious at all. Your advices are very helpful for international students who are thinking about moving to Canada

      Start with getting some canadian certifications and get your degree verified by NCIDQ and WES. Then, apply with updated resume

    How much do you make?
    What can an architect make in Canada?
    You should be answering these questions, period.

    Thank you so much dude for giving a reality check on the doubts that every newcomer faces. I have done masters in India and am struggling with job applications right now in Canada..it's been a year...i wanted to know what are the opportunities here in Canada for a sustainability analyst or green building consultant?

    • @ArchiVlogs.
      @ArchiVlogs.  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You won't like my answer, I have completed my green architecture course here, got a leed certification, and worked on a passive house project. But no luck getting into the sustainability field. I have to stick to BIM to sustain my self even if I am interested in design and sustainability. Canada is in its worst phase now, we can hope in a year or 2 it will be better.

      Yes, absolutely, masters is always more valued plus you dont have to wait 4 months and put 1900$ to get registered

    I'm a certified architect with over 15 years of experience. I've been designing residential buildings in Poland and recently working on interior design and archviz. I have some experience working in the States from years back. Did some CAD (fusion360) design and 3D printing in my free time. Extensive AutoCAD skills and some BIM experience though not as much as I'd like. Good English skills (a couple of certificates), and a bit of french. Any chance for a job in Canada? :)

    • @ArchiVlogs.
      @ArchiVlogs.  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think you have a good experience background to support you, I would suggest start applying, but again Canada is very saturated and the economy is low, so it might take a lot of time.

    Hi bro, under present scenario , is australia a better option than canada for architecture related post graduate courses ?

    • @ArchiVlogs.
      @ArchiVlogs.  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For masters yes Australia is much better as the fees is cheaper and the post graduate workpermit is the same as Canada, plus its easy to get admission there, the market is booming, we have free trade agreement and lastly they have better climate.

    I have surfed through reddit and found out that Canadian companies are blacklisting particular colleges. Although, that is for silly courses like Project management, HR etc., What would you say is the best bet(course) for an Indian international Architecture student looking to change a career away from architecture? I see it to be very difficult considering colleges or universities ask for good grades with minimal backlogs. Should we stick to architecture and go for courses like BIM or masters? I don't see any other options honestly.

    • @ArchiVlogs.
      @ArchiVlogs.  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would suggest that we should always stick to our fields of study as changing the filed is difficult and when you move to different country it really difficult, my suggestion to everyone is this, start in your own field support your self by your bachelors and masters and as you move ahead in life explore different options, because you will have good experience of the country and how things works here in few years.

      Develop your resume and portfolio,
      Make connections with the professor as they will definitely have contacts and insights.
      Start sending a resume with keywords mentioned in the job description. In your portfolio, show some wood based structures.

      I think I have mentioned the harsh parts, like winters, tough life, no personal relationships, and job struggles, but the work ethics and the overall pay for architects are descent,compared to India so I cant complain. obviously we can live luxuriously but at least here we can sustain ourselves.

    Hello Bro. Have been watching you for long time. I wanted to know if there is any university that is offering Master's in BIM with fully funded scholarship.

    • @ArchiVlogs.
      @ArchiVlogs.  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I canada you won't get fully funded scholarships even 10% to 20 % scholarships are rare as the uni and colleges here are to extort money from us.
