- In this game we spend so much time with our horses that they are practically required to play the game. I want to share with you all the things I have learned about horses since I've started playing. I was hoping to put this video out 2 weeks ago, so hopefully it isn't out of date already since the game is changing quickly, but even if a few things have changed I can add those to the next video.

You're right about the visual aspect (Mongrel being harder to spot under armor), HOWEVER, because of draw distance, when you look at it it WILL appear as mongrel / jungle / steppe horse before changing to it's name when it gets closer... I think the drawing distance is a huge problem, especially when we're out and about and need to assess the danger of a potential threat approaching. We see a naked guy coming toward us that transforms suddenly in a heavy armor wearin dude when reaching combat distance...
Anyway, I'm keen to follow the adventures of B & G! Good luck!
Good point! I totally forgot about that issue. I'm hoping that is one of the "Bugs" on the roadmap to be fixed soon. Thanks for the feedback!
Reading this just trigger my anxiety. The same anxiety I get every time I see a naked guy riding at me and my brain going into fight or flight (or panic and freeze mode).
@@nichs.3947 Don't know about you, but my brain is deat set in choosing "freeze" mode and subconsciously telling me "Well, hope you can tall your way outta that one buddy!"

There's step rush everywhere. They're nubs of medium green colored grass with almost wheat like seed pods. It isn't as nourishing as wolf brush but it's all over
Can't wait until you make another video once the MO1 horses replace the placeholders currently in the game. Each animal will have individual attributes like strengths, speed, etc. as well as coat coloring/patterns. Hopefully the breeding system from the first game is also adopted. It will allow you to selectively breed for attributes, coat, height, etc..
That would be amazing! I've been tempted to play mo1 because people make the creatures and taming seem so much more interesting.

Those green grass almost everywhere around Meduli are Steppe Rush and horses like them. But you need A LOT of them to feed your horse because it sates 1 hunger point per 4-5 steppe rush
Be cool but too OP if they had mongel archery... ie leaning over side of horse while riding and shooting bows like they learned to do to use horse as meat shield lol.
I'd love to see that though! Imagine the roleplay possibilities :D

Great video! I feed my horse only apples now (green jambura) and he loves it! One thing I was hoping to learn from the video was the differences between the horses, I know Desert horses are the fastest horse, I believe jungle horses regain stamina fastest (i think). Mongrel horses are the slowest i believe. Correct me if im wrong. But id love to know more about this if anyone can clarify in comments.
Holy cow where did you get apples from? I still haven't been to the east side of the map yet so I've got a lot to explore still. I finally have one of each of the breeds and I'm working on a video for each breed.

Steppe have most stamina. And jungle are most tanky/most hp. I think also
Not 100% sure. Either desert and steppe have speed or stam. Not sure wich is wich. Jotun are okay i think? They are tanky and good stam i think

The Steppe horse hands down. LOVE IT! Easy to find, decent speed and stamina, and so heckin cute.

What are your setting, the game never looks like it does in videos for me/
Good question, it's actually darker in the videos and it is on my PC when I'm actually playing so I use a filter to lighten the dark shots that I take. Other than that it's mostly mid to high settings. I can answer you in detail when I get home though.
