Phoenix Fire Department reaching ‘critical point,’ firefighters union calls for more funding

The United Phoenix Firefighters Union said last week that firefighters are overworked, response times are nearing crisis levels and stations are seeing record-high call volume.

I can't beleive fire fighters need funding. What's going on! When Hobbs foolishly spent $651 million on an electric school bus that could have been given to the fire dept.

How long ago was the Felony? Were you able to serve your sentence and request for a Judge to vacate the felony (remove it from your record?) A felony is an obstacle, but it does not necessarily eliminate you from consideration (having been a Volunteer and Part-Time FF/Medic myself). If you are perisistent, and keep trying, eventually you'll find a way to accomplish that goal!
Understandably, people will tell you it is "impossible," "you're screwed," etc. Don't listen. Hire on with a Volunteer Fire Company, do the work, prove you can. It won't be easy, but it is *NOT* impossible!
