Since you are St Aug alumni maybe you can tell me why Shaw stopped playing at the football stadium and now is playing at Durham County Memorial Stadium.
Elizabeth City State University Stadium was privately funded because the state, North Carolina, did not want to build at stadium for a public university that was an HBCU. For years ECSU use to play their games at the local high school, first at PW Moore Junior High School during segregation and then at Northeastern High School after integration. While there are plans to build a new stadium at the same site funding is not there (it is estimated that it will cost about 30 million to build a new stadium).

True, they have fewer resources. However, smaller doesn't have to be uglier.
